Wayback Wednesday Walk from May 18th 2017
While Mother Nature was in a much better mood this week, and I did get outside and snag a shot or two here & there, I didn't get the chance to "do it up right" so back to the archives I go!
This is a meander around our yard, at the top of the driveway and along the edge of the woods, from May 18th, 2017. While I did use five of these shots for a Foto Friday post back then, the rest of the sixteen shots have only been seen by our landlady (since I email her all my finished photos).
Speaking of meandering, don't forget to meander on over to @tattoodjay's latest post, called Wednesday walk and Make me smile challenge collaboration results and Steem Basic Income Give away which features some beautiful springtime captures from last week, along a pathway on Roosevelt Island in NYC.
Now, on to my shots!
Blossom on the memorial tree
Fairy cave entrance
Female Grosbeak at my bird feeder
She seems to be enjoying the menu!
Future strawberry
Goldfinch blending in
Goldfinch napping in the tree
Upside down Goldfinch
Sunny morning
White lilacs
Purple lilacs
Lily of the Valley
I used to call these the White Seven Pointed Flowers in woods. This particular one has fairy dust on it.
I eventually figured out these are called Starflowers (Lysimachia borealis), and I think it's awesome that the real name is as pretty & magical as they are!
Here is a Starflower that's just starting to bloom
Good morning from my favorite spot in the woods
Happy walking & see you next week!

What a beautiful walk through your woods! You are ahead of us with your blooms. I can't wait for lilacs!
Truly some outstanding flowers!
Lovely. I've never actually seen lilacs or lily of the valley. We don't get them here. I believe they all have beautiful scents. My mother would talk about them...
Great pics @traciyork

You did some great shots. I love this time of the year and the scent of lilac is for me a scent of spring.
I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite out of these they are all so beautiful, but that one of the fairy cave is cool and begging for a story
