In the forest where I went for my mushroom shoot a few days ago there is a meadow in the middle where these great Scottish highland cattle grazes. One was lying real close to the fence so I thought that I could take some nice close-up shots of this mighty ox. As I took two or three shots standing quite close to the fence the ox started to getting annoyed by me standing there as he started to sniff quite loud. So I took my lost on this close-up shots and walked a little bit further for some distance shots starring the other Scottish highland cattle lying in the meadow.
Back home I loaded the close-up shots in to lightroom but none of the shots satisfied me. I think I shot a total of 15 cattle shots and all together two came out nice. So for today not a nice close-up head shot but of an Ox lying peaceful at a safe distance. I will visit this forest again this weekend and I am hoping that the animals are a bit more photogenic that day. So hope more will follow.
Have an amazing day!

I like this. It reminded me of the Zen Buddhism oxherding pictures. I tried using some eSteem points to promote the post...hope it works.
Thank you so much @kunschj, and I know the images you refer to.
Thanks for spending some esteem on my post for promoting.
You’re very welcome. Now tame that ox.
This is a great shot, though the edit kind of draws the eye to the ground for me. Very pretty animal !
Thank you so much @guurg, the idea that came to mind when I clicked the shutter on this shot was like the ox is hiding behind the vegetation. So drawing the attention to the foreground was a bit intentional.
