Yesterday, we posted some really interesting facts about cats which might have surprised you even if you're a seasoned cat owner. Sometimes we don't realise a lot of these things when we see them right in front of us but usually, there's always an explanation for the way cat's behave or for some physical tendency and that's why it's good to spend more time taking notice of all the little things your cat does, and try understand them.

Today, we've got some more interesting facts to share, and as always, feel free to share your stories on how you got to learn about idiosyncrasies of your own cat.

  • Purring for a cat is often associated as a pleasure response. This is most of the time true, but it can also mean emotional, psychological, or physical pain.

  • Did you know, that domestic cats are the only cats which can hold their tail vertically as they walk? Wild cats can manage horizontal or hanging but not vertical!

  • Cat's walk with 2 right, and 2 left legs. This is shared with Camels and Giraffes.

  • In case you didn't learn this in school, the human being has 206 bones in the body. How many does a cat have? Well, on average, they have 244 bones. They also have 60 vertebrae (as opposed to 33 in humans). About 20 of their bones are located in their tail alone.

  • Cat's have 517 muscles, and this allows them to move the front half and back half of their bodies independently of each other. They can even more them in opposite directions.

  • Cat's and Humans share the same emotional centre in the brain. (Who says cat's don't have feelings?)

  • Ever seen your cat perform gymnastics with their ears? Well they can do this because they have 32 muscles in their ears as opposed to 6 in a human.

Well done, beautiful story .. wonderful pictures
Great post from you
Thanks for sharing..

Such a sweet expression in the first photo - "Momma, I love you" look! This last picture is a beautiful "breed shot". It really shows the lovely soft coat and incredibly fluffy tail of the Angora. Gorgeous kitty!
I did not realize that cats "amble"; I never watched. They are usually napping; or else racing around. Interesting!

@therealwolf 's created platform smartsteem scammed my post this morning (mothersday) that was supposed to be for an Abused Childrens Charity. Dude literally stole from abused children that don't have mothers ... on mothersday.

And the reason why is because @therealwolf is disgusting slimy pedophile that enjoys abusing kids. Here's proof of him upvoting child porn on the steemit blockchain. bigbadwolf indeed.
