More street photos - Minnesota Zoo this morning.
So my assignment for Street Photography this week was to take photos in one familiar place and one unfamiliar place. I did the unfamiliar really early with Northern Spark, but familiar was harder. Most of the places I spend a lot of time are ones without very many people in them, and I didn't think a street photography set that was all pictures of trees was going to go over well.
One exception is the zoo, though I usually time my visits there to feature a minimum of other people. This morning I decided to go, take some animal photos as I went out to the farthest point, and then concentrate on people on my way back.
I don't think in general these turned out as well as the Northern Spark photos, though the peaks may be better. But you can judge for yourself.
I have to pick the best one of these before class tonight and I'm torn between the kid on the camel and the last one here with Superman. I think the kid on the camel is probably going to win because of the parallelism between the camel's head and the T-Rex's.
Nice pics! I do like the boy on the camel picture, but the old lady smiling is the one I'd go with. Catching still, raw emotion like that is amazing. It also leaves a lot of questions unanswered...who or what is she smiling at? Why are the people behind her not sharing her enthusiasm? Or did we just miss theirs because the shutter closed a few seconds too soon or too late?
Regardless, good luck in class! I was thinking I might catch a pic of my wife and sister in law, as they took the kiddos there this morning.
I do like that one. She is extremely enthusiastic about the prairie dogs.
I agree. I do like the kid on the camel. He seems to be having a lot of fun and this picture is transmitting it completely.
Class liked that one a lot too.
