Nice shots! we are still a little ways away from seeing any mushrooms to the West. With the rain we have been getting though and the warmer temps during the day, that might change. We will see...

I was so glad when I see these, I am not sure why but i never seem to come across mushrooms on my walks, even thoughI do look for them,, good luck seeing some there soon

I preferred color. Man, the wonderful world of fungi. I wish i knew the name of the fungi you showcased here. Currently, i am talking a 16 mushroom blend. I am taking it as an elixir. The mushrooms are dried and powdered. I take them with cacao powder, macca powder, marshmallow root powder, coconut cream powder, add hot water and a bit of sweetner and coconut oil. Blend and enjoy. Tastes like hot chocolate. I am in the market for roasted powdered dandelion root. Add that to the mushroom and cacao and it tastes like a nutritious coffee substitute. Nature so amazing. Happy Easter!! 🌷🐣🌱

Thanks for your feedback I think I prefer the color version as well, thats an interest mix you are taking, I don't need a coffee substitute I have never been a coffee or any form of hot drink person, nowadays I mostly just drink water

With the gentle colours on the mushroom I prefer photography in colour, showing off the rings giving a good idea on how big they are against the tree trunk.

I prefer the B&W photo, JJ. Both versions are nice, but the black-and-white one looks better to me ;)

I have no clue what's the name of these mushrooms - Google didn't help either ;)

If you want to go and collect edible mushrooms, then you should not take me with you, because I won't find any ... I am mushroom-blind ;) ... but last weekend I have found one: I was walking, when I saw some ducks on the path searching something in the grass. When I came closer I saw this morel or Morchella mushroom - the first one I have ever seen :)

That is such a cool Mushroom I am not sure I have ever seen one like this, I to am mushroom blind I seldom ever see them so I had to get shots of these ;)

As for edible mushrooms i have no idea so I only eat the ones served in restaurants or available in t a supermarket

I have seen it on photos, but never in nature. I even haven't eaten this mushroom before, I think. So, I was quite surprised when I saw it 😁

I also prefer to buy my mushrooms, because I am never sure if it's edible when I accidently find one 🤔

I remember once in Thailand in a small guest house they offered us the special Mushroom Soup, and we were oHh sure, seems none of us had heard of Magic Mushrooms before, LOL what a crazy night that was

Funny that I like them more when they are old JJ. More colorful.
Just like us as we get older, more colorful thoughts.

Thats a nice take on it, I seldom ever come across mushrooms and Fungi, so when I saw these i had to get shots, I must admit the colors of these did catch my attention, and yes I think your right as we get older and perhaps do something less our thoughts do get more colorful :)

Really pretty fungus, not sure what the name would be. The Chicken of the Woods mushroom grows like that but it is bright orange and yellow (and edibles) I think I like the color photo best for this @tattoodjay! Glad to see you're finally able to get out! Spring is here!
