Steem to the Moon - a dream or real chance? Power Up 1000Steem
Hello my dear Steemians,
As often it is I was not planning to post today, because it was busy day at work and when I came home just wanted to have some rest. Nevertheless, once I looked at the Steem Price today that made me puzzled what has happened and what made Steem to go up to above $0,50 today? Often we see some news in Discord but I noticed only the questions there too and no real answer. What we, human like to do is to speculate and of course to dream a bit and that is why my post today.
First of all look at these Tables, the first one shows the Steem Price and it is noticeable that from 10AM the price jumped up with its peak $0,58 today. It is often that it goes up but usually does not stay long and falls back to the previous level. Luckily this time it is already 7:30 PM and price remained stable.
The trading volume is of $868,554,272 USD over 24 hours.
When looking throughout the Steemit I found a post of @happyberrysboy who shared the conversation between our witnesses and their thought what could be done to help Steem to be stronger. I just attache the screenshot here:
When I hear about "Burning" Steem then it reminds me the talks about "Burning" Hive that was about a year ago and so far I remember that helped Hive to go up and it remained about $0.90-$1.00+.
You all may understand if some Steem is "burnt out" then the amount of liquid available Steem on market will be less and that may make Steem stronger.
Reading such conversation from out Top Witness it makes me feel better because then it feels like there are possibility that with the witnesses who care about Steem and our blockchain will reward people behind it.
Another theory is I have Powered Up today 1,000.00 Steem and after that at 10 AM Steem went Up, that was definitely because of me :)
At the end, we would like you to decide yourself what to do:
- you can sell your Steem now when the Price is $0,56, but
- nobody knows what the price is tomorrow it could be more than $1 then some people regret seeling and loosing money.
- we stay with Steem and see what happens

No, everything looks just fine! Now we have remained faithful to the Steem for so long with constant PowerUp - that's how it should stay!
At some point it will all pay off - hopefully with many new, talented users... ;-)
Just wanted to be the center of Universe :) but unfortunately the strong Steem did not last long, hope it will not return to its old time price. Just a little sparkle woke so many happy memories about old good time :)

What is nice to see is that after several hours, the price is holding somewhat steady above $0.50. So often these spikes are immediately followed by a steep decline back to where the price was previously.
I'm just glad to see the witnesses having a little more influence to change and improve things.
Yes, at least it showed again that Steem can become strong and reach much, the hope is that witnesses will do their best for the Steem and its users and from our side we will try to keep active :)
We're a little bit in the stage of "rebuilding after a storm" here, so patience will be required, but I think with new energy and some dedicated "real" witnesses things can go in the right direction.

It is a nice surprise especially that with Steem going up our payout is also going up. It is always dilemma what to do, but if possible we should keep Steem and not sell.
I didn't see it go that high. It has been steady around 0.35 from what I see. What am I missing?
Last year it was $1,50 or so for quite a long time, hope it will go back to that level or even to $8 like it was in 2017. For many who were in the past here it is so frustrating to see that Steem having such great potential and not really going up.
I remember when it was 1.50. There is a great deal of potential, but also limitations. Few people seem to know about this platform--at least in my experience. I believe it would help to be able to share posts to other social media platforms--or maybe just advertise. It also takes a great deal of effort for most people to write a post that only has a shelf life of 7 days. That aspect discourages people.
Thanks for sharing this information. I did not expect this rise in steem, I hope it rises more than half a dollar, however, everything that goes up tends to go down, and cryptocurrencies are no exception.
