Is The Steem Blockchain Missing a Huge Opportunity ?
With freedom of speech & censorship at the forefront of the news right now because of Alex Jones (mailchimp/linkedin the latest to ban him?) and Infowars you would think a decentralized/censorship proof chain such as Steem should be getting more buzz and play in the media.
Are we missing a great chance to show off the Steem blockchain and SteemIt? Grant it we'd need to have faster sign-ups! come on SteemIt,Inc let's take advantage of these things!
What are your thoughts?

I would like to see how long Alex Jones would hold it here on Steemit before his account will be trolled and flagged to oblivion by the Whales here.

Are you kidding? Steemit is far from censorship-free. Some people with high SP try to muzzle others here because they have a different political opinion. Recent victims I am aware of: @kelte, @rokit
You realize you can never have what you write erased. It is always on the blockchain forever. This is all I meant by that. Nothing to do with SP.
I see your point, you are right - the content is there, but the messengers are punished financially and by this discouraged from free speech. This is also a form of censorship.
No, not necessarily. The financial incentive should be second. The blockchain helps show all of what is here, and nobody can stop that. Some front ends choose not to disclose content that has been voted too low, but thats their choice. There are others who don't hide.
Many didn't believe in Steemit,
They see it as ridiculous,
Now steemit value keep drowning,
