My Thoughts
Well, it seems the Orwellian Ministry of Truth is upon us! I thought this was a huge step that could have some implications beyond Alex Jones. It's definitely not the first censorship we've seen from the big social media outlets. Hopefully this will wake more people up to the value of a decentralized social network! What do you think?

Censorship is eventually going to push a big name to Steemit. It's the logical next step
The Ministry of Truth is not upon us. The government is not shutting down Alex Jones. He is not being hooded and whisked away to a secret prison. He is NOT being censored. His publishers have decided to stop publishing him. It's really not that big a deal. Publishers have every right to determine who, how, and when they publish anything. I think the people who are crying over censorship are stuck in hyperbole, probably because they consume hyperbolic media like Alex Jones.
And to answer your initial question; no. they will turn to other platforms with built in audiences that kowtow to their form of crazy. The niche just becomes more niche.

Alex Jones is a sell out crybaby. Once upon a time I liked him, but now infowars has turned into Fox News on speed balls. I don’t agree with censorship, but Alex Jones is poison. Also fuck Facebook and all those other big sites. If Alex Jones really cared he should switch over to steemit, but it’s highly unlikely, because all this does is it gives him something to cry about, and it lets him say “see the NWO wants to censor me cause I speak the truth , blah blah blah”
But is Steemit really censorship free? You can downvote a post to 0.00$ and then it hides the images on a regular steemit post? I don't know how it is with dtube and dlive?

Yes all of the content with anything having Alex Jones' name has been scrubbed from YouTube Twitter and Facebook.
I'm almost certain search results with his keywords are smashed on Google's index.

@richardcrill, For sure this shows the False Domination of centralised platforms and it's not the one case and YouTube is banning many accounts who are speaking truth.
And for sure Steemit can become an next generation social media platform so in my opinion content creators and specially Information Wars content creators should join Steemit.
And let's hope that this one scenario can attract many towards the Steemit platform and inturn it can become one growth aspect for sure.
