"Muddy girls", since 2016

There was a time when I really thought that I could do this - to have my own cafe or some kind of establishment. Not a restaurant because cooking is not my thing for various reasons that will not be the subject of this post, but a cafe or bar.
A place where I would do anything the way I think it should be done. I would mostly serve my customers well.
Well, now that I think about it, I forget the fact that customers can be a^^eholes too. But I am coming from my perspective, I am looking from the position of the customer who wants to be served well, at least politely and with a smile. Which is already not very common, especially in the capital or along the coast in the tourist season.
Outside these places, on the other hand, one can encounter a desperate incompetence and lack of skill, such as seeing the young waitress trying to fix the fallen piece of cake on your plate with her big manicured fingers. 😦

I would like to do things differently, with the customer in mind, with small compliments, with variety, with something that I could make him come back again. But most of all, I would like the establishment to be unique, tastefully done, but also have a touch of creativity that makes it look unique and even crazy.

Well, I don't have that much experience in this - neither in this field as a worker nor as much as a customer. My imagination is not that strong, nor do I have that much money either.
In the neighboring town, several establishments were opened during the pandemic by people who had been forced to return from abroad, people with financial means, as well as experience in this field.

So I just let the professionals handle these things because they can do them better, and I'm just a spectator to watch and judge.

IMG_20231206_231258.jpg

Why am I telling you all this?
It may seem strange to you, but when I saw this establishment, I was very impressed with it.
Mostly because it's different.

IMG_20231206_231358.jpg

First of all, it's called "Muddy Girls".
This is because it is located next to the salt pans of Burgas (sea can be seen in the background), where people go for treatments with healing mud and lye.
In this sense, the name is both symbolic and very original. As well as its decoration.

When we were there it was off-season, actually, before the season started, and it looked like this, without customers, because it wasn't open.
Well, maybe I don't regret it, because today I can read comments about how overpriced the dishes on the menu are, although not bad. But that's normal - the prices in the resorts are always high, there are no other establishments around, the place is iconic and very visited, so everything is as it should be. Including that someone put some effort into the design. Whether he has seen this design before somewhere.

Because here someone could have just parked a caravan to sell döner kebab or hotdogs - it would be just as successful and frequented, but no, someone decided to put in a little more effort, try and do something interesting. And things have worked out well. At least that's my opinion.

P.S. These old shacks are buildings from a long past time, and they were simply renovated, perhaps the owner of this establishment had no other choice, he could not tear them down, but simply adapted them for his purposes, decorating them and adding parts like shed and so on...

steem.jpgSoul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you.

Personally, I am a sensitive soul with a strong sense of justice.
Traveling and photography are my greatest passions.
Sounds trivial to you?
No, it's not trivial. Because I still love to travel to not so famous destinations.🗺️
Of course, the current situation does not allow me to do this, but I still find a way to satisfy my hunger for knowledge, new places, beauty and art.
Sometimes you can find the most amazing things even in the backyard of your house.😊🧐🧭|

"Muddy Girls"* looks like a cool place where one can be tempted to spend few bucks😉 every day.

I was still running my brain around why they name it such..., but then again, I saw a little reason behind the name..., though less than what I was expecting.

The creativity of the surrounding is magnificent, I believe their services is also moderate...

I love environment like this which is less crowded and noisy but more important, decent.

Thank you for sharing this interesting information about Bulgaria.

I like uncrowded places too, so I prefer to visit this resort region - the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, in the off-season. Then one can best see and feel the sites and things in them.
Unfortunately, however, precisely because of this reason I have not been able to take advantage of them in the most appropriate way. I have been to this place twice and both times its main purpose was closed, namely: the nearby mud baths. 😊 That's why this establishment is called that way.
It's very cute. On the one hand, this name says it all. On the other hand, it is extremely creative, especially the decorations. And that it emphasizes the figures of girls. This could mean anything - this establishment could be run by women (that was my first guess and perception, even though there was no one there at the time). Or it can emphasize female figures to attract more male customers. 😄
I don't know what the real reason is, but in any case it seems original to me.
I'm glad you like it!
Of course, I will contact you on Discord. My acc. there is the same as here.
