Just like you can turn Steem into Steem Power, APPICS will allow you to integrate your XAP tokens into a smart contract, generating APPICS Power. This power represents the influence an account has, and also determines the value of upvotes.

If you want to invest in the token sale, it is important to submit your KYC (‘Know-Your-Customer’) -details right now, so your info can be reviewed as soon as possible.
You can find a link to submit your KYC-details in the top menu at the APPICS Website.
The information you need to submit depends on how much you want to invest. If you don’t plan on investing more than $1000, all you need to submit are
- Your full name
- Your residential address
- Your date of birth

I’ve read the APPICS Whitepaper - which looks good to me, but what do I know about whitepapers? - and I’m under the impression that it will basically work like SteemIt. The creation and curation rewards, the 7-day payout for posts,...
Reading through the website, I got really curious about the app, but so far the only info about how it will work is revealed in a video of the presentation of APPICS during Finovate Middle East 2018. You can watch that video below.
The app will only be released in the 3rd quarter of 2018, although there will be a limited ‘soft launch’ soon.
I’m dying to know more about the app, but it appears I’ll have to be patient. Very patient.

You are the second person to tell me about appics. @doomsdaychassis told me the other day about it too. I haven't had a chance to look into it some more. Is it worth investing?

I agree with @doomsdaychassis that it looks like the Instagram version of SteemIt.
It could become huge, but it might as well not. There has been quite a marketing campaign, so it might take off, certainly at the beginning. But now the market has crashed, there’s no way to say if it will succeed.

I honestly don't know. It started like 2 or 3 hours ago. Suddenly my Gina bot was going crazy with notifications about upvotes on my comments. And not just on one, on every single comment I was making...

Asher @abh12345, is good at making all those list and using that SQL database he might be able to help figure it out. It might be as simple as someone at that point finding out about when your account was hacked, or you have a secret admirer or got put on a comment curation trail, or....I just don't know maybe one of the others will know,.

aapics to me looks like a steem based blockchain version of instagram . i could be way off. but that is how it appears. So i gotta get all my duck face selfies ready and take pictures of everything i eat to make that money. lol
darn, all my photos are family pictures and no way will I post those on here. I guess I could take pictures of my morning coffee, lunch, dinner...but then the few that follow me might get tired of seeing my boring meals and start unfollowing me!
no, it is a completely different platform. it doesn't post anything here. It is just built using the steem tokens from my understanding. So you can post over there and make money and over here seperately. It would be like being on here and on facebook only it would pay and the owners wouldn't spy on you and sell your data to the highest bidder.
Really, I think that might take off. Ok, said I would check it out. Will do it tonight or over the weekend. I wouldn't mind posting my lunch pics there..one cent here and there might buy a coffee one day.
