Daily Steem Price Update 4/11/2019

in #steemit6 years ago

Good day Steemian welcome to today's Steem price update for 4/11/2019.
I have been posting the Steem price update since almost the very beginning of Steemit.com.
Many have came here to discuss the daily Steem price's and changes for over 3 years now.

I also want to mention incase your wondering that when something doesn't seem normal from the other regular "Price Updates" that the daily Steem price posts do occasionally change their format from time to time.

But regardless of changes we will carry on as usual and by this I mean knowing the price of Steem as it's important for your daily plan or strategy.
And even if you are not planing to do anything with your Steem I still recommend checking out these updates and so keeping an eye on the price.
So without further ado lets take a look at today's Daily Steem Price change for 4/11/2019.

Should you be trading with Steem today...?

I got this weird flu at the moment where it's for a few hours I can feel very poorly and then other times I feel like almost like normal. But unfortunately the other night I was too poorly to even look at a screen and so did not get on Steem. Anyway part-2 of the attended event was still very packed due to this time not having to face the disappointments of Saturday. We discovered that it firstly didn't include features promised on both the website and on the official guide book of the event. Nothing was done to fix this except the information was deleted off the website soon after day one ended. Another big downer on Saturday which could not be helped was the horrible weather, it was literally raining the WHOLE day. Most of the event is inside but normally the large outside area is a place to chill, talk, listen to live music, get those photos with new people and crab some tasty food, etc. But nope it was cold, windy and raining to the point that we just couldn't bare to be outside. Luckily on the Sunday it was mostly sunny not very cold and many people were outside enjoying the social part of the event. A very tiring weekend but it was of course a ton of fun. And so I was glad that in the end I didn't have any events to go to this weekend so I could rest, still had work. While I thought it was a little odd to be having a Halloween event in November it turns out there are still many happening even this Sunday. With October over and now in November like clock-work I started to get busier at work along with other pesky things in life. I'am beginning to not really enjoy October throughout until January due to such things being all so close together. Still to be honest last year was a little easier compared to previous years, I do hope this time it may also be slightly calmer and so far that seems to be the case. Bitcoins had been slowly recovering and I believe it was on October 26th when it reached $10000 as it had been mostly stuck between $7850 and $8350 since Spt 27th. The SBD price also dropped along with Steem and Bitcoins but since the Bitcoin recovery we have not seen a change in price until these last few days as now both Steem and SBD's went up making already buyers nervous, but there is still some nice opportunities to buy cheap Steem.

NEW-STEEM Bringing SMT's.

Steemit INC continue to work on bringing SMT's, the team are not far off it's schedule for release infact development is now done and it's review didn't show the need for any major additional work. If your curious the whitepaper is still the most authoritative reference for understanding what SMTs can and can't do but it is very technical. That is why the best way to think of it is like giving users the ability to create their own Steem-like-tokens. There will be some things not included in version-1 of it's release like for example "powerdowns" but I believe it will come with the ability to powerdown at 13 weeks, but all this cant be added and changed in future, as like having your own Hardforks. There is also the already completed work for "Specific Voting" which is a means of rewarding users with the desired SMT token of choice. "RC pools" are on their way, some Steemians are eagerly waiting for this as it could be a good future source of income. Steemit INC have been spending alot of time on Platform Independent State Files which is a great way for increasing the level of decentralisation in the ecosystem and another favourite use of mine which will be "dramatically reducing the downtime" on the exchanges. See as with MIRA the databases were platform specific which I'am sure you can already see the potential problem with that, but with Platform Independent State Files it makes it easier to move databases into a format that is consistent across many if not all platforms. In the end what matters is whether or not information has been independently verified as just because code is executed by a decentralised network of machines does not mean you can always trust it. See as soft consensus is code that is stored on a distributed ledger "like say Steem" and so this decentralises the code by enabling anyone to verify that it is indeed being executed properly. Like this Steem reduces the cost of Soft Consensus to a fraction of what it would be on any other chain which enables applications to take advantage of Steem’s high speed and fee-less transactions. Also if your a business or interested in marketing and finding a community of active users thanks to Steemit INC and their advertising partner "BuySellAds" anyone who wants to purchase ad space on the steemit.com website may also do so now. Because Steemit as been doing well with their advertisement campaign they didn't have a need to power-down on September but we do suspect power-downs to continue as normal. Still just the fact they were able to do this once is promising. This made it easier for Steemit INC completing their transfer of 200,000 STEEM to Blocktrades for the purpose of building the Steem.DAO as they firstly wanted to observe it in action to ensure that it was sufficiently stable and safe for it's user-base. Blocktrades converted much of that STEEM into 25,000 SBD which was then deposited into the Steem.DAO, it's said Blocktrades will deposit the remaining 11,600 SBD sometime in the future. Steemit INC are also getting involved in burning-up their Steem, while I'am not a big fan of burning Steem just simply because it's a opportunity for someone else to own that Steem but I obviously realise we do have alot of extra Steem floating around because of the SBD conversions which could indeed do with some burning. But not all Steem is being burned some of the rewards from the Steemitblog are going towards the SteemDAO.

Always do your own due diligence the above is only a opinion.
