I witnessed the ocean erupt with dolphins! A MEGA-POD
We had only ventured about an hour from the coastline when my partner and I saw a dolphin jumping in the distance. We proceeded to inform the tour operator and he slowed the boat down for us to get a better look. Coming around 180 degrees we struggled to see anything in the water.
Just as I was starting to feel like the dick head who stopped the tour boat for nothing, somebody shouted out that they could see a dolphin. This video shows how quickly the ocean changed from no wild life, to bursting with dolphins. Sorry about any quality issues with the video itself, it was my first edit with new software. Also the wind on the boat was unbearable to listen to due to my phone microphone. So I have just replaced the audio with some simulated wind sound. Please look past the quality and really enjoy the epic display of a MEGA-POD!
This was an amazing experience for me personally, there was so much more activity than the video can convey. They were surfacing everywhere around us, skimming past the side of the boat, there little sonar sounds could be heard through the water when we slowed down. The tour operator mentioned that the pod was roughly the number of dolphins you can see on the surface times four to include the ones under the water. There were at least 300 surfacing at some points so the pod was above 1000 dolphins. They continued to follow us at a distance for probably quarter of an hour or so after the video stops. We were also privy to some flying fish skimming the surface on our departure from the volcano, which was a first for my partner. I will share the volcano experience in another post I am working on.
Thanks for taking the time to have a peek!
@silvernova hey I know this place and I can say I have never seen anything like this, you were indeed extremely blessed to witness this. I can't wait to hear the rest of your story. I can't believe people stayed inside the boat, feel sad for them to have missed out. Thank you for sharing, have re-steemed and upvoted

What a beautiful and thrilling experience, well captured by your camera work.
I couldn't turn away from watching the video, even though I have other things I need to do... You have no need whatsoever to apologize for the video, it is magnificent.
THANK YOU very much for sharing this.
😄😇😄
P.S. Re-Steemed - Everyone should see this! ;)
Wow that is such a great reponse! Thankyou for your support and I am so glad you got something out of watching it! Im sorry for enthralling you too much and keeping you from the things you need to do!
No worries, I got around to them afterward! ;)
Very COOL!!!!
I swam with the Dolphins in the Florida Keys once. Call me dumb, but for some reason, I didn't think Dolphins were going to smell like fish. Dolphins need a scent that accentuates their beauty.
Just my opinion.

Hahaha thats gold, they definitely don't suit smelling like fish. I like that, a scent that accentuates their beauty! A more rose or lavendar scent maybe?
Eclectic ideas, sounds like something I would say.
Coconut or Kiwi...
HMMMM...
Reminds me of the beach, white sands and crystal water. Watching the soft white PEAKS roll in..
Glad you like. I can feel your smiles.
Feels great.
Appreciate letting me share in your experience.

It looks like the beginning of the Hawaiian Iron Man Triathlon.
Nice work! This is great, the ocean with all the amazing sights.
I live 2 hours from the coast and I go often! :D

Thankyou @timbo it was amazing. My partner also witnessed her first flying fish as well. It was a great trip all around!
Ooooo, so many creatures in the ocean. I absolutely love it.

Wow, really hope that i'll be able to see this at least one time in my life :D
It's definitely something you don't want to miss. Some people just stayed in the boat and didn't even come out. I hope you get to see it too, words (and non professional video) just can't do it justice.
Great to see thank you for sharing @silvernova
