The Holiday Feeling part 2
However, I still haven’t reached that holiday feeling just yet. I shop a little, perhaps buy some gifts if I am to be visiting anyone while abroad but if this was the case I’d often opt for buying them in advanced. I tend to head to my departure gate early once it’s known. Nothing worse than being late or missing a flight. The plane finally takes off and I can shut my eyes and enjoy a pleasant flight to my destination. At this point I’m filled with anticipation and wonder if all my planning will work out as it should. The weeks of preparation, reading through reviews and information. It’s an exciting feeling to see it all play out.
Finally landing and collecting my baggage without a hitch, things begin to set in. I have arrived at my destination and head for the accommodation. Pleased with the result it’s time to settle in and kick it back at a nearby café. I buy a drink and settle down beneath an umbrella. I look around, the sun shines and the palm trees stand tall. I can finally feel it, that holiday feeling that marks the start of the trip. It’s surreal, exciting and almost overwhelming. My face can’t help but grin at this point, holidays are really the best.
