"Passion to..." - Daily Word #62

When I mention "Passion"... I'm sure you get a variety of pictures from a Loving Desire between two lovers to perhaps an avid sportsman/woman in their Moment to Win that Accolade or Grand Prize!!

Even in the Bible, we have probably seen the Passion Jesus Christ had when he was on earth! The Passion to Save Mankind from their doom by heading towards His eventual earthly death on the Cross.

And as we take a glimpse of 2 Corinthians 5:9... we see a different perspective of Passion.

"So whether we live or die we make it our life’s PASSION to live our lives PLEASING to him." Source

Hang on a minute, does that mean that Jesus' Passion was to Please His Father, to obey and do whatever the Father desires for Him (His Mandate) to achieve / accomplish on earth? YES!!! Of course He also loved us and was compelled to show us His Unconditional Love on Calvary. But His main purpose was to FULFIL All that the Father wanted Him to do!!!

I hope this is becomes a new paradigm for you. As you and I live our life, are we truly living it for our Father or are we merely living it for ourselves...

A New Revelation that happened to me recently was that I needed to Live My Life according to His Standard... not what the World's Expectation or even my Ministry's Responsibilities) requires of me!!!

Are you after the approval of Man or your Father in Heaven?

The truth of the matter is, my worth to God in public is what I am in private. I cannot be living for someone else and be also sold out for God. I must choose who I am to please.
