RE: 100 DAYS OF STEEM : Day 63 - The 100 Days of Steem - What Should Come Next?

in #the100daysofsteem4 years ago (edited)

What elements of the project have worked best?

  • Community curators project
  • Diary game
  • Steem greeters
  • Writing challenges
  • Just having a daily post from steemitblog, regardless of topic, is a big deal during turbulent times.
  • Highlighting & otherwise supporting collaborative posts from other Steem content creators.

Which parts haven’t worked so well?

  • Slow follow through after certain announcements. (For example, discord server from first post, Steem greeters community creation, updates or follow-up posts on abuse fighting, product roadmap pertaining to communities, SMTs [if SMTs are still a thing?], atomic swaps with Tron.)
  • What happened to the "Look What's on Steem" e-mails? Can we expect to see more? I thought that was a great idea.

What would you like to see more of?

  • Updates on efforts to curtail abuse.
  • More exchange listings.
  • Bringing Tron users and communications into the Steem ecosystem. The Tron Foundation's blog is an obvious first step.

What have you enjoyed the most?

  • The diary game posts

We are also very interested in any new ideas for the remaining 37 days?

  • More initiatives to reward people for getting Steem content in front of eyeballs on other platforms. Awarding points in the diary game for Facebook and Twitter shares is a great start. You could also do a weekly post saying "Place a link to your [Twitter|Facebook] shares in comments for this post". Then (i) You could upvote the comments; and (ii) Other Twitter/Facebook users could easily find content to share/retweet on social media.
  • Bring in some sort of established influencer or blogging team with an agreement for them to provide daily & exclusive content in exchange for a certain value of Steemit upvote.
  • Auction off delegations, priced in BTC, TRX, or some other non-Steem currency so that you can profit from your stake without further centralization of your position and without putting selling pressure on the price of Steem. The auction could be modeled after FCC auction of wireless frequencies.

When the 100 Days finishes would you like to see Steemit continue with this sort of project?

  • Definitely. I think all stakeholders, including Steemit, should be as active as possible at trying to grow the value of our stake.

Do you think Steemit should be involved in organising these sorts of activities and challenges?

  • Yes. I very much prefer the current, active and engaged stance, to the prior 3 1/2 years of apparent disinterest.

Aside

  • I'd really like to be able to look at beneficiary awards in Steemit's wallet, just like curation & author rewards
  • I'd really like the editor preview to be side-by-side instead of having to scroll to see the preview.

Thank you for this most valuable feedback. We will definitely be taking these comments and ideas on board as we move towards the next phase.

Picking up on one specific point, we are continuing with the 'Look What's on Steem' mailshots. We are aiming for one every 3 or 4 weeks at present. The second one is currently being prepared.

The Steemit Team

I would like to HIGHLIGHT THESE TWO as very important:
***Just having a daily post from steemitblog, regardless of topic, is a big deal during turbulent times.
***Highlighting & otherwise supporting collaborative posts from other Steem content creators.
Also a new steem keychain for our wallets would be nice. I think the dev who made the one now is gone.

Coincidentally, this came across my feed this morning: Neue Version von SteemKeychain. I can't read it, and I haven't yet taken the time to send it through google translate yet, but I gather that someone has made a new version of Steem Keychain.

Actually, here you can find the announcement of the improved STEEM Keychain version (at the bottom of the article) in English.

By the way, in my opinion translations made by DeepL are clearly superior compared to the ones of Google Translate.

Thank you.

Great & splendid compliment! I side with you 👌:)

Ohh que respuesta mas completa y acertada... Definitivamente este nuevo enfoque es el mejor... 100 días no es suficiente... Queremos mas!!

Hi @atyh, it is great that you are entering The Diary Game, but try not to keep spamming your diary post links on to other people's posts and comments.

Thank you

The Steemit Team

I thought I need to comment on steemitblog's to show the screen capture of my Facebook and Twitter proving i have shared steemit link there , and also the link of my post as somebody told me i have to do so, for telling he or she i am taking part of the diary game or challenge.

I stopped sending my diary post links on other post and comment except steemitblog's post when you first remind me.

Please confirm am i need to post my diary post link / challenge post link to steemitblog's post? Or i simply add thediarygame and 100daysofsteem tag in my post is ok?

Sorry for my misunderstaning and inconvinience caused to your team.

Hi atyh i will help you out. You need to share all of your diary post links here
For social media prove you need to share it right under your post just comment on your own post and post screenshots and links of your social media.

Hope this helps. Good luck with the diary game.

Thanks brother, I am clear now

I'm glad i could help!

i guess i will keep doing that stupid thing if there is nobody reminds me that I have been sharing my link and scree capture in wrong way, just strat worring i will being banned or ingored by steemit team, i need to spend quite a lot of time in writting my diary (about 50-60 mins per post), so @steemcurator01 reminder and your help is very important to me

Thank you for this entry in The Diary Game.

It is okay to post the links to your entries on any of our daily posts, but add them as your own separate comment. Don't add them on to other people's comments.

Also include the social media screenshots in the comment on your own diary post.

The Steemit Team

Thank you very much for you clarification, I mixed up the requirement of the 100 days challenge and diary game challenge, I thought I need to post my latest diary link to steemitblog latest post, now I am clear, thank you very much for your reminder, I was not trying to spam actually. Again, sorry for the inconvenience caused to everyone because of my misunderstanding
