Cracking the brain

This is a true story, which happens in Denver, Colorado as memory, serves me correctly.

I’m in the line holding my groceries keeping to myself. Then it happens, there is pushing next to me as a woman slides her items on the conveyor belt in front before I can put mine on. Not once did she acknowledge my existence.

I breathe a slight retort under my breath, “if one more person cuts in front I’m going to say something.” That was it I felt the air being sucked out of the room.

You can hear her brain crack as she turns and cuts her eyes at me shouting, “Bitch”!
Not only children but also adults and me step back in unison to clear the way not knowing what would come next. I stood in disbelief, as the devil suddenly appeared in the form of this mad woman.

My words are the proverbial pebble breaking the window encasing her brain. Lucky me.

My next move

The way I see it she’s medicated or psychotic and there is no arguing with that so I move to the next check out line. The first thing the cashier asks to call the manager.
“No” I insist no more drama. Instead after check out I wait and make sure she exits out the door before me.

Once in the parking lot loading my vehicle a screeching car circles around, it is she rolling down the window while yelling bitch. She did it again oh my god.

I refer to this incident as ‘pebbles on the window’. My pebble just happened to be the one that caused her brain to crack. In society, there are people like her and it is not always possible to know who is going to crack next.

The harsh reality is there will always be unstable people in the world and we must deal with it. Who among you is one pebble away from going berserk?

Before it gets to the point of collapse: Meditation and if possible turn off the television.

If you are feeling intense anger and thinking of hurting yourself or others get help. Our society dismisses mental health too quickly.

Hehehe. You’ve got a point

It's very thoughtful of you in this situation, but I guess you are right, it's not your lucky day that she chosen you on that day. We can only observed and don't act on it, the flow eventually will balance back.

It's funny you should say that because on that day I remember I was seeing how happy people were as I went through the store she probably picked up on that

Must be a clash of aura between you two! LOL

well I did not photograph the mask but thought it went good with the story...thanks!

I certainly understand the significance of the story

Smart! It is not worth it messing with crazy people. I've learned that one the hard way.
