This Week in Upvote Bots Week 4

It's been a bumpy week on Steemit with servers going a little haywire. Again there is news from one of the top two upvote bots and a big SteemPower gain by one of the bid bot services. I've also got a new tool for you to check out but one of the tools I've been recommending, at least for now, has stopped working.



Randowhale

At least for one more week @randowhale is my top pick for an upvote service. This might change after I get time to use Minnow Booster now that they have changed their limits again but for now he gets the top spot for the second week in a row. His service has gotten to be very reliable with him waking up every couple of hours for an hour or so before sleeping to recharge again. Even when there's a problem his owner does a very good job of handling it.



Minnowbooster

If you read last week's report you know I was critical of @minnowbooster 's move to a 5SBD only upvote. It really hurt the ROI for this service. It also reduced the number of posts you could get up voted from 15 to 3. Now they have moved to a 2-5SBD upvote and a 20SBD weekly limit. My wife( @artisticrambling ) got to try it out and upvoted one post for 2SBD and one at 3SBD. It looks like the 3SBD upvote had a better return but both had a healthy profit. Make sure to check that the bots vote power is above 51%. It's taken a hit from the changes but is solidly in the mid 50's as of right now. Other Upvote Bot's



@minnowpond

This one is a freebie. All you have to do is follow the bot and it will upvote your posts. The upvote is worth .010 SBD at the most but hey, it's an upvote. They've also added a new service for 0.25SBD you receive a stronger upvote and resteemed to their 4000+ followers. You might have guessed that like other resteem bots I've unfollowed minnowpond to keep my feed clutter free.

@morwhale

Morwhale holding steady with 8 upvotes worth not much for .005SBD



@steemthat

Steemthat has dropped it's price back to 0.010SBD while adding almost a hundred Steem Power(just shy of 500 now)



@resteem.bot

Dirt cheap resteem bot with lots of followers. You'll get a few upvotes and a flooded feed because you have to follow the bot to use it.



@polsza

Polsza has grown it's Steempower(over 17,000) but because, unlike randowhale, it never rests vote power is below 30% right now. If it's owner of this bot put it to bed for a weekend then started giving it regular rest cycles he could have a real hit on his hands.



@originalworks

The cost is free. Reply to a post with @originalworks and if the bot determines that to be true it will upvote the original post. You'll probable see my wife do this for me on this post :).




The Dr Otto bots(and Other bidding style bots)

The big news for the week in bidding bots was Buildawhale jumping to 250K before settling in at 219K. Also of note, Booster is going to try 1.2hr/50% voting rounds for the next couple of weeks. His upvote pools are constantly over bid and I think this is an attempt to rectify that. I doubt it will change much. Bellyrub is unchanged for power but is taking a few hours off and promised a return with a promo. Discordia and Minnowhelper where the two bots that lost Steem Power and each dropped a spot in the rankings because of it.

If you've read my previous Upvote Bot's this Week articles you're probably already familiar with this tool. You can check steem power, recent upvotes, curation rewards, author rewards, and pending rewards. Steemnow struggled to function during the server issues this last week but is working fine right now.



Steemworld

A new tool that does everything Steemnow does and adds more detail to it. Of particular note is the fact you can click on an upvote you received and see the actual amount that upvote was worth. This takes the guess work out of checking the ROI of an upvote bot.

As of right now I can't get this tool to work but I'm including it hoping it's owner gets it repaired. It's never been reliable on how much longer a bidding session would last but it did the math for you on upvote pool, amount of bids, and the upvote you'd get if you bid a certain amount. Keep your fingers crossed.
