DIVING DEEPER INTO INTERACTION AND IMPACTING OTHERS
The way that our lives can overlap and interweave is incredible!
Meeting people online and sending each other gifts in the mail may seem peculiar and interesting to begin with, but there is a much deeper level upon which this interaction can originate.
By now, many of you may know a few things about @papa-pepper and @clayboyn, and that I recently made some t-shirts for @clayboyn and shipped them over to him. Once he knew that my package to him was on its way, he asked if I had included a return address, because he had something that he wanted to send me.
What he sent touched me so deeply, and apparently I had touched him deeply as well. @clayboyn has been pretty open about things on steemit, so I'll share here without really holding back.

THE GIFTS
Because of how my family had blessed and touched this man, he wanted to share several books from his own childhood with us, so that they could be part of the @little-peppers childhood too. This was certainly not what I had expected, and it actually surprised me quite a bit.
I know that I try to set a good example and that I take my family very seriously, and that I have been very open and honest about certain aspects of life regularly, but you never know the difference that you are making in the lives of others around you, unless they actually tell you about it.
THE LETTER
@clayboyn told me about it, and I'm sharing that story with you all now. In life we only have this once chance to meet, share, and interact. Now may be the last opportunity that I have to either encourage or discourage you. What choice will I make? What choice will you make?
How will you build up and encourage others around you? Interestingly enough, sometimes if we just open up and are honest, that is all that it takes. I recently read a post by @nataleejean where she shared some serious stuff. That post can be found here:

In the replies to that post, I mentioned, "Also, thanks for being real and honest. It can really bless others."
When we open up and share our real thoughts, struggles, history, and other personal things, we are at that moment opening ourselves up. Perhaps others will reject us because of that. Perhaps they will relate. Perhaps they can come to us and encourage and support us. Maybe us opening up can encourage and support them.
I just want to encourage us all to open up, interact, and bless others on a deeper level. Often, that blessing will come back to you in the end too! Steem on!

I appreciate you so much for mentioning my story. Thank you! I love reading your posts. The reason I appreciate your post so much is because I made a post a few days ago about a serious, rare disease I am facing. Someone commented and said I should never share my health problems with the world because I can't control who reads it. Okay? This is my life. If it offends someone that I'm writing about having a neurological disease, that's their own problem. Why the heck would I want to have a blog if I have to hide my real life? I came here to say things I have always wanted to say but didn't know how to. This made me feel so much better!

I am so blown away by the quality and depth of the interaction you guys are having an want to be a part of it at every level.
We will begin to look at relationships so much differently through technology. Just like are views of currency and sending value globally have changed from Bitcoin and others like it. We will see global relationships develop that will take us to a level of a connected world that many of us have never envisioned.

I Genuinely would like to know more about how upvotes work. Do we have a limited supply of upvotes? or does it cost us to upvote? I am new to Steemit and just would like to better understand how the community works to build itself up through upvotes and comments.

This is beautiful. Thanks for letting us in on your friendship with @clayboyn. Your interactions are a shining example of what Steemit can do for people if we approach it with the right attitude. Also, I think it's super cool that @clayboyn sent books. There is no better gift that a kid (or an adult) can receive. 😊
