When something looks to good to be true.steemCreated with Sketch.

It usually is.

Struggling with the Waves DEX platform.

Hold your Waves.

Sometimes things become more clear when it actually gets done in practise. A theory can be very nice, where it all should work like forseen. And it looked that way when I came up with the idea to launch the TULIP token as an asset on the Waves DEX platform. Easy as pie, true, all done in a jiffy. Then I made some very small SELL orders, still quite expensive ones. Only 1637 TULIP tokens will ever be released and the initial price setting would be 1134.451 Euro. And then for USD, BTC and WAVES the same value. Calculated those and set orders for selling 0.001 TULIP. That is the smallest amount possible. And then after 53 minutes the TULIP-WAVES pair order got filled. Wow, the first 0.259 WAVES, meaning one TULIP will cost 259.000 WAVES. As they are rare, that is a nice starting price.

Then I saw something strange, the payment was settled at... 0.00000001 WAVES!? WHAT!? That should not even be possible. It cost me 0.003 WAVES in fees when that order got filled. So, I lost on that deal, while there was no order stating that it could be sold for 0.00000001 WAVES. Was there a fault in the DEX? How is that even possible. Hey, is there somebody at the Waves platform that wants to offer 1000 BTC, I want to be able to pay 0.00000001 WAVES for that. Stranger even is that the order history showed: 27/09/2017 17:33:00 - Buy - 259.74700000 - 0.001 - 0.25974700, while my mobile wallet showed there was actually only 0.0000001 WAVES payed. It could be a minor flaw in the system. Luckily I only tested with 0.001 TULIP. But all later orders worked correctly. But that first one... Well, that makes me doubt the Waves DEX platform.

Uncertain for now.

It might be an anomaly that only happens once. So I will try some more SELL offers of 0.001 TULIP for WAVES to see if that first lucky buyer was able to do something others can not. Feel free to buy the little amount of TULIP, it is 0.259747 WAVES. Maybe you can manage to get it for 0.00000001 WAVES too?

As they have been issued I might hand out the TULIP tokens anyway, so stay tuned. If you want to have a go at it already then make sure you have the right one. It is called TULIP and has identifier: DhNdGSkyttDmn72yMNN68dD6Xq6yLW2pph2yEFqVeSD4. There is only one TULIP at the Waves DEX platform. There are however others with TULIP in it, with name additions. The one with the 1637 tokens is just called: TULIP, all capitals.

That is it for now concerning TULIP tokens.

Have a great one!

There might be a Waves DEX platform issue.

Anyone wants to have a go already?

Lucky 7!

First 7 to reply with a valid WAVES account get 0.111 TULIP for free.
Just to play around with, experiment. But remember that the Waves DEX platform had a weird anomaly. So: USE AT YOUR OWN RESPONSIBILITY!

No complex rules this round, just that first 7 to reply with a valid WAVES account get 0.111 TULIP send by me for free. (The initial price was thought to be 1134.451 EURO per 1 TULIP, but there is no guarantee that will be so in the future.)

Remember to use it just for testing, but it will still cost 0.003 Waves per filled sell order. And 0.001, 0.0015 or 0.002 Waves for other things at the Waves platform.

You are of course also free to HODL. :-)

My Waves receiving address is 3PQpGwR9KX1GVEvRLSEGb6W43CqydfL7KL7 , but let me know how this works lol.

You are lucky number 2!
It should be in your assets part of your Waves wallet. :-)

I have not received anything on bittrex
Fk I think it has to be a separate wallet not an exchange ?

I installed the Waves lite client app, creted an account.
I got this address 3P5HLpsvc5MLaRVrE3JcksBu3Z6evpFVG24 but please take a look if it's correct, I have no idea if it's accepting your tokens

Hm, now Bittrex got the TULIP tokens, hahaha, them bunch happy! ;-)

In the Waves Wallet, you can see the suitcase like icon, next to the one looking like a dollar sign? If you click on that one, there the TULIP tokens will show up.

Wait a moment, I'll send you a new batch of 0.111 TULIP! That one accepts it, I know, I am using that one too. ;-)

UPDATE:

TX ID: HvKSWuxoJq3UQykQEXJWTzgMrAELy8vxqVPZzRN1MEuY it should show up in your Waves Lite wallet any minute now.

Woooot got it! Thanks :D
Sorry for my mistake... I will later today e-mail bittrex maybe they can do something about it. Can you please give me a transaction id or something that would might help them locate it ?

What do I do with my tulips now ? HODL ?

No problem, leave it to be. Bittrex can see who send it. But never mind. Maybe they start to support TULIP now. =D

HODL for now. ;-)

I've been thinking about creating a token myself, so reading these posts has been very interesting to watch.

Would love a little TULIP! Here's my WAVES: 3PJ3inJymGJWtGMUzbXQQq3HZAQPD9Eq8Nd

Thanks very much @oaldamster!

It is quite simple actually at the Waves DEX platform.

Send you the 0.111 TULIP @futuristgear, you are the first of the lucky 7 to get some to play with! It is my pleasure.

Yeah it looks a lot simpler than issuing an ERC-20 token. I might have a play with it and see how I get on.

Thank you very much @oaldamster! I'll HODL until the TULIPs are touching the clouds. :-D

You are welcome! :-)
It is indeed easy. Getting a verified Asset takes more effort though.

But that is out of range for the TULIP.

I've had a look at the token creation tab, and yes it looks super simple!

I wouldn't want a verified asset, just something to play around with for a bit of fun.

TULIP to be listed on Bittrex and Poloniex in no time I'm sure. ;-)

It is great to experiment with.

Now that would be something. TULIP at the exchanges!

Yes for sure! I'm doing so much reading and research at the moment, creating a token to play around with will be the next thing to do.

I've just thought of something; would that make WhopperCoin (the BK one they released in Russia) a verified asset? I'm guessing it must be.

I'd love to see it on exchanges! Binance.com too would be good, I like that exchange. :-)

I've also heard re: WAVES that a new DEX/Wallet is coming soon, so will be interesting to see how that looks.

Let's test this: 3PMxdWTuty5KSXVs2ETBbzNaYsgQ5Uwg5H3

You should have the TULIP in wallet by now.

Received with thanks.

It is my pleasure!

Btw did you make the design yourself?

I love the bright orange tulip!

Thanks! It is my own design. :-)

Nice post

You did it!! Despite the small potential teething problem. I am not familiar with the waves Dex will have to check it out

Yes I did! =D

The anomaly, baffled me a bit, tried to reproduce it, but I did not manage to buy something for 0.00000001 WAVES, like a million BTC or something, hahaha. So it might have been just a very rare hickup.

There is a Chrome browser app for Waves and also Android and Apple apps. It is very straightforward to use.

I shall look into it right now. I will try the android one, I like the phone action!

Imagine if you had found some kind of exploit that allowed that bitcoin purchase, you would have been made!! Hehe

The Android App I do use too. Works like a charm.

Oh, that would have been so freaking awesome, hahaha...

I was surprised at how easy it was, done of them are not very good. Tomorrow I shall get some waves!

Waves sure got them interfaces done well. It is a pleasure to use.
Have got some TULIP ready to try, for the lucky seven, who are the first to reply. :-)

Dammit I was in bed! I have missed Tulip mania! :O)

Good morning, still some pre mania to get mate! ;-)

Have a great day!

What a coincidence :) I love tulips! I'd love me some tulips.

I didn't quite understand what is the aquisition process though, I'm not very good with ico's .. still trying to get my hand on some eos I purchased in early August.

The EOS you can claim any time. The proces of doing so can be quite a challenge. I used the MetaMask browser extention for the whole proces. And there needs to be some Ether in there to make it all happen. Strange thing is that is claims a lot of Ether, but when the proces is done only a small amount is being used.

The only reason I used Ether is because I wanted to get me some EOS tokens...

Good luck getting your EOS, take it step by step, it will work.

I made the "purchase"with Myetherwallet and after release period was done I tried doing it step by step like it said on their site but I couldn't claim the tokens on Myetherwallet. They simply do not show.
I will probably send an e-mail to support requesting help.. I think it's better this way.

My EOS tokens do not show up in my wallet either. But I can see at the EOS website that I have claimed them. There I got my private key and so on. That I stored for future use. Do not like how it works, way too complex.

But it is a good idea to contact support, good luck.

Cheers mate
