#MarketFriday initiated by @dswigle - Another visit to the Taibessi Market in Díli, East Timor
Hi there, my dear Steemians!
Here is my post today to the #MarketFriday, initiated by my dear Denise <3!
Last week, in my #MarketFriday post I've I've invited you to come with me to one of the local markets of Díli, the capital of East Timor, the Taibessi Market :))
I told you then that this is the hugest street market in Díli, and the place where goods are much cheaper there than in the central areas of the city, where the foreigners buy them pricey (much pricey, as Díli is an expensive country for foreigners).
But you know? I have this friend that loves nutrition and asked me to go again with her, so she could get some fresh and unique goods she can't find anywhere else: tofu, tempeh, some roots, like fresh turmeric, and fresh shredded coconut. She makes wonders with the food, and, for instance, she makes milk out of the shredded coconut.
I guess you know by now that I'm not much as a cook, and I hate cooking. Instead, I love to eat (everything, that's the problem, lol!)... and photography.
Photographing people, street photography, the candid moments that no one notices and I capture forever with my camera, yessss! So, besides buying 10 purple sweet potatoes, that's what I did :))). Shooting, shooting!
A sad note: despite being forbibden also in East Timor, people still sell turtle shell accessories :(...
I hope you enjoyed the visit!
Thanks @dswigle, the sweet host of this wonderful challenge!
This is also my entry to the amazing Streetphotography by @photocontests and @juliank :)). Cheers to you too, my friend!
Photos taken by me.
Cheers to all! Have a wonderful Fridayyyyyy!

Boy did you catch the essence of the market in that picture with the little boy in the cart at the very end. Such a sweet sweet picture and just the entire post is so telling people they're living in sometimes impoverished situations, yet there is much happiness in their soul. There are so many lessons to be learned from this and it does not fall on deaf ears.
I love your Market, I love you vision and how you see things, I love that you see the littlest things that may seem like nothing but I stand in amazement at the strength and tenacity of these people.
Thank you always for gave me the view of East Timor and just know that I appreciate sharing cultures with you and everybody else yes. Such outstanding work Isabel. Your heart must be full of love to be able to capture these photos and make me see what you do. Thank you again and again. My love to you.
