Visiting a very old monastery

This monastery is considered one of the oldest in the region of Athens and was built in the 10th century AC

Here are some pictures from Sunday’s visit to the monastery of Saint Efraim.

Actually when it comes to holy men and places there is not much you can say. Picture speak for itself.

This is what tou see first. This path leads to the inner section

In a nice decorated yard full of trees and flowers
where you can see monks bedrooms

There were people from all over Greece visiting the monastery. Actually it is very famous(which I didn’t know)

And this is where he is buried
