The wind sails swiftly through the wood
Making a shrill sound sending shivers down your spine
You are dressed warmly but the breeze bites through
The clouds part and reveal a full moon with an orange halo
You swiften your step as if being followed
Subtle secret sounds emanate from the brush nearby
Panic waits impatiently at the bottom of your throat
Fear works it's way out of your pores
You look nervously around you again and again
Like a broken bobblehead
Leaves brush the bottom of your pantleg
Dancing to a tuneless song
A crash nearby as prey leaps away from predator
Your skin feels as if may run away on its own
Heart hammering in your ears but hearing clearly every hidden sound
Fear-sweat runs the length of your spine
Then a sigh
You have reached the next house
You knock and shout TRICK OR TREAT!!
