Skateboarding Photography #7: 5050 Grind Frontside Shove it out!!
Good day Everybody!!
Here is another edition of my skateboarding photos. The photo today is a sequence of me doing the 5050 grind frontside shove it out.
This was part of my game of steem skate bonus challenge, I have done this trick on ledges and once on a small and low faltbar. Since I needed to challenge myself, I tried to do the trick on the taller flatbar. I am glad it worked out, the 5050 grind is there but catching the shove it is really difficult. To be honest, when it is time to shove it out, I could not see the board and I just trust my instincts to land on my board. Having a full grasp of the fundamentals of a 5050 grind and a frontside shove it really helps.
5050 grind is a basic trick done on a ledge or a flatbar. In this photo I Am doing a frontside 5050 wherein the flat bar is in my frontside when I pop. The frontside shove it is also a basic trick that makes the board do a 180 degree spin without touching the ground. The shove it trick focuses on the pop on the tail and the backfoot does all the work while the fontfoot just waits for the board to turn and catch.
So here is my sequence photo. I tell you, this trick took at least 20 tries before I landed it. I just got back my 5050 exactly last week and it’s crazy I jumped on this trick right away. Maybe because of the bonus challenge in game of steemskate I try to push myself to areas I am not comfortable with, because those guys are just on another level!!
Here is a bonus photo of me and the flatbar. It is a little high so my weak pop was really challenged. I need to practice more on this flatbar so that I may enjoy a session on this.
