Weekend Freewrite - 10/19/2019 - Single Prompt Option: "herbs" and "What does today mean to me #ccc 2.19"
Today's breakfast was a simple fruit platter of sliced watermelon, papaya and mango with some steamed buns and coffee. While preparing for breakfast, I started the washing machine for the day's laundry.
After the breakfast, it was hanging laundry time and then, it was time to relax. I watched videos on speed knitting with continental style. It looked easy on videos but takes quite some practice to be fast. The continental style knitting and purling requires some swift motor skills of the fingers and takes a little to get used to. I think I might like it after some practice.
Then, it was time for lunch and grocery shopping, my favourite outing for a Saturday. We went out for lunch at a nearby restaurant - fried rice noodle with egg. Grocery shopping, as usual was fun. I enjoy the little mart that we go to and we topped up our supplies of fruits, vegetables and other food items for the week.
In the evening, we prepared dinner of wrapped Vietnamese rice rolls with herbs and mashed hard boiled eggs with grind black pepper. We shredded a carrot, an onion and some ginger, chopped some spring onion, coriander, sliced some garlic and peeled some lettuce leaves. Then, we wrapped them all up like a spring roll with the rice wrapper and ate them with some chili sauce. Yumm and healthy. But the garlic was really spicy and pungent until I teared.
Now, just chill and wait for bedtime :)

I wonder what that fast knitting looks like. My granny could knit very fast with one finger. I never could and learned another, faster and easier way. I wonder if it needs to be fast. It is relaxing time, you can knit while watching a film. Many knit with very thick wool these days. That goes fast too.
