Zen Colouring Contest #39 - Winners Showcase!

Hello Everybody!

The time you have all been waiting for has arrived! Week 39 of #zencolouringcontest ended yesterday, and now to announce the winners!

So without further ado, let's get on with the show(case)!

Firstly lets announce the new prize winner voted for by a couple of admirers and entrants for the contest,

I picked this one because I loved the tones and shades of orange mixed with the addition of yellow to make an eye catching pattern. I really liked how the opacity of colours and layers were used to give the fish an ethereal look and with the water textured layer gives an underwater look too!

In 2nd place:

@lildebbiecakes

I chose this one because I love how the shades of orange used in the scales give the fish dimension and a realistic shimmer. I also love that the individual fish have a uniqueness provided by the fins, gills and tail colours, the blue and green work very well to contrast the orange of the fish. I like the effort that went into the hand drawn water texture in the background too!

And in 1st place:

@izaid

I picked this one as the winner because I really like the colours used in each of the Koi. Both stand out with the patterns the colours create, the light salmon coloured one with its orange fins and the dark black one with its green fins. Those differences in the colours keep with the Yin & Yang theme and work very well to contrast each other. I absolutely love that the design was animated to give the Koi life, as if circling each other underwater. That animated water background is that final touch that brings it all together!

This had to have been one of the toughest judging to do. There were so many beautifully coloured fish brimming with creativity. Well done to all of you for participating anf thanks to those that support and admire the contest. Congratulations to the winners!

Thank you for choosing mine for third place! I really should have thought of the yin-yang nature... But it was still fun. I like the spinning one - I don't know much about animation, lol.
