El nombre no me niega
me con-crece,
el adjetivo no es infinito.
así me reconcilio
con el espejo
aunque no termine
nunca
de escribir el poema.
lo otro
se me hace carne
cuando miro,
cuando coso,
cuando edifico,
cuando riego,
incluso cuando deshilvano
y cuando hallo,
por fin,
la trama oculta
en el reflejo.

The name does not deny me
it concretes me,
the adjective is not infinite.
This way I reconcile
with the mirror
although I do not ever finish
writing the poem.
the other,
becomes my flesh
when I look,
when I sow,
when I build,
when I irrigate,
even when I unravel
and when I find,
at last,
the hidden plot
in the reflection.
