I understand where you are coming from, Venice canals are a bit less wide overall and its a huge maze there :P
Definitely worth zooming in, the boats have so many odd and ins on them giving them an antique kind of look. Also kind of cool to see bikes, cars, and boats all in 1 frame too.
These boats used to be used to transport goods over the inland rivers, now there are redesigned to houses. Glad you like the higher resolution photo, we do not buy expensive gear for nothing ;)
