Swan at Sunrise / Schwan bei Sonnenaufgang

in #photography5 years ago

The photo of the swan at sunrise, I have already made two about months ago at the reservoir and then unfortunately completely forgotten.

Das Foto von dem Schwan bei Sonnenaufgang habe ich bereits vor zwei Monaten am Stausee gemacht und dann leider komplett vergessen.

The day started cloudy and unfortunately the sun could not really prevail. But when the swan swam by, he saved the photo.

Der Tag hat ziemlich bewölkt begonnen und die Sonne konnte sich leider nicht richtig durchsetzen. Doch als der Schwan vorbeigeschwommen ist, hat er das Foto gerettet.

You danced while taking the shot? 😉

I danced after this shot, because without the swan the photo would have been just another colorless sunrise 😉

A colorless sunrise can be a beautiful monochrome 😂

That's true, I have already posted monochrome sunrises with lots of clouds and fog :)

Beautiful just beautiful!

Thank you so much, @lotusfleur, I think, the swan has made this scene beautiful 😊

Danke dir, ich hatte dabei auch viel Glück mit dem Schwan 😊

the animals and birds seem to be doing there bit for you to ensure you get a good shot on each outing :) and this is an awesome one

This swan knew, that he would make the photo so much better :)

Thank you so much, JJ, have a great day.
Mine has already started, and when you read this you will be on your way to work, and I think, I will be on my way into the weekend :)))

I made a last minute decision yesterday to work from home today, work may be a stretch of the word, but I have a few things to do that I can do at home,

At least nobody controls, if you are really working, and when the work is done, everything is fine.
I would love to work at home sometimes - I have done it before, when I had urgent and important projects, and because I have done a good and fast job, nobody did mind, but at our company it's not usual to work at home.

Here they are trying to reduce the amount they are paying for renting office space in NYC which is super expensive so they are pushing telecommuting and hot-desking ie you find an open cubicle and use it for the day, so telecomuting is not only a possibility but welcomed.
I don't mind hot-desking or Flexible workspace as they call it as I am always the first one in so I could use the same desk everyday, but for the moment where I am we have assigned desks

I do know this "hot-desking" too, but it is not practicable here, because we still have too much paperwork and thus couldn't work on another desk each day...
For some projects, working at home would even be better, but as said before - that's not usual and not wanted in my company.

I am quite glad its an option for me now, I now keep most of my files online so I have it in the cloud so I can access pretty much all I need from anywhere

If it was my choice, we would have 90% less paperwork, but unfortunately it isn't.

Thank you that you like my swan photo, @shuvo35 😊

Beutiful shot @johannpiber. Love the colours and off course the capture of the swan.

Thank you so much, @tijntje, I was so lucky, that the swan swam by 😊

Isn't photography all about luck? Being at the right time at the right place with (very important) your camera at hand. I saw such a beautiful sunrise this morning but I was driving and no place to stop, so no great shot (would have been made with the smartphone).

That's so true - luck plays an important role. You can plan, where to shoot and what to shoot, but the weather forecast might be wrong and you got up early in the morning for nothing.
My sunrise shot would have been moody and nice, but the swan made the photo much better.

Often when I drive to work I see a beautiful sunrise through my rear window, but like you I don't have a chance to stop and take a photo ;)

Have a nice day and a great weekend, @tijntje 😊

One thing I started to do since I got the new camera gear is bringing it with me on my commute to work. This has resulted in some very nice shots made on parking lots near the freeway or parking somewhere on a small road after a little detour because I thought I saw a great click moment.

You to have a great day and a wonderful weekend @johannpiber.

Most times I have my backpack with me, of course also when commuting. When it's not possible to have my backpack with me, I carry a smaller bag or sometimes my little Canon G9X.

lol! He sure did, that makes a wonderful, gorgeous photo sir johannpiber!

Yes, I was so glad, that the swan swam by. He really made the photo worth to be posted here. Thank you, that you think the same, @janton 😊

Yes sir, it's another great photo to put in your archive. Do you have a special folder for your favorite shots?

Thank you @janton 😁
No, all photos are stored in the same folders. If I want to see my favorite photos, I just go to my Steemit Blog 😉 lol

Oh ok, well that makes for one big favorite photos folder. I wonder if steemit or steem went away we probably would not have access anymore.

I have stored all of my photos, the originals and the edited photos, on a harddisk. At least once a week I make a backup on a separate harddisk. I am also planning to make a third backup on a cloud drive, but this is some work for the wintertime ;)

So, if Steem goes away, it won't be a big problem for the photos, but I think, when I have enough time I want to download also the posts, because some texts are quite nice, as well as some comments are worth to be saved securely ;)

well that sounds like a lot of work to download so many posts but that is how dedicated you are sir johannpiber but I hope you never have to do that!

Oh no, there's a special software for such downloads, but I have to search it, and I do hope, it works with Steemit ... or I have to find another way ;)
