Inedible / Ungenießbar

in #photography5 years ago (edited)

One of the mushrooms on today's photos is still edible and delicious.

I have no idea, what mushrooms on these photos are, except for the yellow mushroom below.

I believe that even if the mushrooms were eatable, they would not be edible anymore.
I photographed this mushroom once in natural light, and once I lit it with my LED light while photographing.

The Golden Chanterelle (Cantharellus cibarius) or "Eierschwammerl" = Eggshroom, as we say in Austria, has a yolk-yellow color and is said to occur quite frequently in Europe. It is a very popular edible mushroom.

When I search for these mushrooms, I usually do not find any because of my fungal blindness - when I search for mushrooms, I do not see any, but when I'm not looking for mushrooms as I did on my last hike, I see many. Of course, I have also seen many edible and not half rotten mushrooms, but I liked these here somehow a little better 😉

I have never seen such a mushroom. He has just fought his way through the earth and the forest floor. Maybe the ball, which looks like a puffer fish, will unfold to a hat - no idea.

That's it with the "most beautiful" mushrooms I saw on my hike. Maybe in the near future I'll find some again for the next #fungifriday.

All photos were shot with the Canon EOS R and the macro lens SIGMA 105mm 1:2,8 DG MACRO HSM, apart from the last photo, which I took with the EF 70-200mm f/4 L IS II USM lens.

I hope many of you will join as there are only 2 simple rules:

  • when Friday comes post your own, original photo/drawing/art/food/anything-at-all of any type of fungi (yes, stolen images will be checked and reported!)
  • add the #FungiFriday tag (it doesn't have to be your first tag)

What a cool selection of Mushrooms I have heard of Chantelle mushrooms but I wouldn't have known that is what it was

isn't it funny how when your not looking for something you seem more likely to fine it, unlike !BEER

Have a great weekend

!trdo

Thank you so much JJ 🙂
I think, the Chanterelle is one of the most offered and bought mushroom on our farmers market here - everybody likes it and it tastes good.
I have seen so many mushrooms of all kinds that day in the forest - if I only knew which were edible ;)
I wish you a great rugby weekend too ... of course with some virtual !BEER 😉

I have seen the chanterelles in just about every farmers market and they often have a good variety
When I see mushrooms 🍄 on walks I always wonder if they are edible but never know so leave them alone

Cheers and !BEER

A joke, mushroom pickers don't really like: You can eat all mushrooms, but some only once ;) hahaha
!BEER

LOL I bet Mushroom pickers dont like that joke LOL

!BEER

When I searched for the name of a mushroom, I read in a forum that mushroom pickers do not like to hear this joke 😉
!BEER

That yellow one! What a cool colour :)
And the last one looks a bit like a Puffball mushroom.. just a little more toasted :p

Happy #Fungifriday :)

I honestly have no idea about all of these mushrooms, apart from the Golden Chanterelle which we call somehow Eggshroom (our word "Eierschwammerl" means egg and mushroom), and it really has this color 🙂
Thank you so much, that you like the photos, @ewkaw 🙂

You're welcome @johannpiber. Thank you for all the !BEERS

My pleasure @steemitboard, I hope you are collecting the !BEER token 🙂

To be honest, we prefer to drink !BEER than to collect them 😂

Fine, then you still need to collect the tokens, because soon, when the price of the !BEER token is high enough you can buy as many real beer as you want 😉

The last photo with spotty mushroom is the best looking mushroom! But these are poisonous!?

Thank you for your comment, @kaminchan 🙂
Honestly, I don't know the names of these mushrooms, and apart from the yellow Golden Chanterelle mushroom they might all be poisonous.
!BEER

Thank you for the beer! Now I cannot drive home!

Most dangerous things are beautiful and alluring!

Oh, then you might as well stay where you are and have another !BEER 😉
That's true - if something is too beautiful you have to be careful, because it might be dangerous.
I wish you a great weekend @kaminchan 🙂

The top one looks to be in the boletus family. Did it have pores or gills underneath? The second old one looks like an old russula or maybe milkcap but age makes it hard to id them. Did you harvest any of the chantrelles? Last one looks like a scaley puffball or maybe a pigskin puffball though i would need to see the inside for a positive id. Great shots :-).

At first I want to thank you for liking the photos and for your nice comment, @sketch.and.jam 🙂
Then I have to admit, that I didn't look closer at the mushrooms, so I cannot say, how they looked underneath or so ;)
No, I haven't collected any of the mushrooms. There have been quite a few of the chantrelles, but not enough for a meal.
!BEER

awesome post!!! great captures.

this one, looks to me like one of the Pholiota family.
some of them are quite edible, despite the bizarre look.

is it looks like this?..

happy Fungi Friday!!

Good morning @qwerrie, thank you, that you like the photos 🙂
I didn't have a closer look at the mushroom and could see the "ball" only. There was no other mushroom near this one, so I cannot say how it would have looked like when it has grown further, but the surface looks quite similar ... I have no idea and wish you a great weekend 🙂
