My grandfather proposed this work to me with the consent of my mother, my task was to read three newspapers a day and once a week he had to accompany the bank, where he guided the grandfather to support the pen in the place where he had to sign, they were Important roles and did not have enough confidence in the bank employees.

At the end of the month, he went to the bank to pay for his retirement. On arriving at our house, my grandfather's first job was to order the money to pay the bills, the first one to receive his salary was me. Neighborhood was forgotten in time, there was no electric light, drinking water, sewers or newspapers, for this reason I moved away from the news.

This situation was not all bad, while we remained immersed in ignorance, very bad things happened in the country, the military took the institutions and turned them into places of torture, tortured men, women and children, a shameful fact of my country.

The owners of private planes had to give up their units so that the military pilots could board their ships, those that were used to throw political prisoners from the air, people disappeared, one left his house and did not know if he was going to see again his family.

 

In the year 1982 came the war of the South Atlantic that we maintained against the united kingdom, at the end of the war I was 14 years old, in the last years had matured a lot, after culminating the war I determined to know Buenos Aires, I convinced my mother To allow me to travel to the metropolis, my security and madures did their thing so that my mother authorized me to travel.

Arriving in Buenos Aires, I got work in a perfumery as a cadet, the business was located in one of the most upscale neighborhoods of the Federal Capital, for a matter of costs and I lived in the town of Avellaneda Province of Buenos Aires.

The schedule I had in my work was from 8.00 in the morning to 10 pm, I practically lived in the business, in the winter times the time of my work was very dark, when leaving work was getting dark, could happen A month without being able to see the sun.

The military dictatorship continued! I will never forget the terror that had the police of my country! This is a shameful thing to do, to have terror to the officials who are the ones who must give security to the citizens! But they were the ones who provoked terror!

Every day I left my home knowing that maybe I would never return, before stepping on the threshold of my door I persigned to God and asked for my safety, I would almost run out of my house until the bus stop, down from that group to do transshipment In the same way, running to address another, I was afraid to meet a police officer and stop you.

At that time you could not walk two people down the street, if they saw you accompanied and they stopped you and asked for your identity card and if they did not like your face they took you arrested, another amazing thing was what happened at the stops The groups, if there were more than five people in the stop, the police would come and ask for documents, so if you had to be the sixth you had to walk to the next stop, many times you had to walk several blocks until you found one Empty stop Wonder!

If at that time I disapproved I would never have been found! I lived alone, I had no relatives to care for me if I did not get home, I often wanted to go back to my province, but I knew that if I came back, that would have been a great failure and that kept me in place.

Once I stopped a police officer and asked for my identity documents, on seeing my address that corresponded to the province of Corrientes I was detained for background investigation, at that time was not centralized civil registries, get a state of antecedent took 48 Hs, therefore your detention was never less than 48 hours.

After being arrested and having been certified that I had no prior record, I was released, leaving the police station I went directly to work to explain what had happened, to see my colleagues arrive they started to cry, they had thought it was another person Disappeared, this caused me a difficult feeling to explain, happiness to see how much my companions loved me and a great pity and fear of being a near disappeared.

Every day I lived with the fear of never seeing my loved ones again, I gave thanks to God when they came to my house at night safe and sound, I really was a very mature and strong young man, today I look at my son of 15 Years and I see it so vulnerable, I really do not know how to handle it in a situation like this.

Although I lived only the last year of the military dictatorship, for me it was like living for a decade, the days were long and endless, on the day the rumor was run that a new democratic government would assume, returned happiness and tranquility to people Of our people.

Without realizing it came the month of October of the year 1983! It was when the new president Raul Alfonsin assumes as head of government, all the Argentine people went to the square to see the assumption of the new president, who brought peace and tranquility to the Argentines.

                    !I Never felt such happiness in my life!

When I saw the image of this week's slogan, the first thing that came to my mind was the day I raised my head to look at the sky and see the birds fly freely, that day I felt that I regained freedom! free!
