I invite you to travel through time and enjoy a beautiful legend as we did in our childhood.

The legend of today told me the grandmother of my mother, a grandmother very dear to all, we called her grandma Maina. At that time I was about 10 years old, I was studying in the first school year.

My mother was always very believing, she had a saint for everything, according to our beliefs the virgin Santa Ana is the protector of the students, I could not tell if she was casual or was very studious, the truth is that I never repeated a grade, mother attributed to the miracles of Santa Ana.

Mama promised that if we passed grade we would take a candle one meter long for the favors received, a week after the end of the school cycle we would travel to a small town called Santa Ana de los Guaracas, where the tremble of Santa Ana resided.

To get to the stream you have to overcome a gully covered with tacuru, the tacuru are small mountains of earth created by termites, you have to jump between tacuru and tacuru to reach the coast of the stream.

The house closest to my grandmother belonged to the Soto family. A very poor family, perhaps the poorest of the colony, the curious thing was that from one day to the next their lives changed completely, they repaired the ranch, they bought bovine animals and they modernized the work of the field with the acquisition of agricultural machines

This was very novel in the colony, after a while there was no lack of gossip that had brought a burial (gold) to this was due the new fortune.
