Bacon, Egg & Cheese Crumpet

This week @jaybird is celebrating one full year of the #SteemitSandwichContest. The #SteemitSandwichContest is one of the best weekly contests on STEEM, because sandwiches are great and so is STEEM. Today I decided to make a Bacon, Egg & Cheese Crumpet Sandwich. I was introduced to Crumpets by an Australian fellow named @mattclarke about a year ago. @mattclarke sent me 5 SBD and told me to 'Go Buy Some Crumpets' during a STEEM campaign to spread the joys of crumpets to other parts of the world. I certainly enjoyed and I'm not quite sure why Americans are sheltered from this amazing treat. Here I will show you how to make your own Bacon, Egg & Cheese Crumpet in a few simple steps.

Ingredients

2 Crumpets
2 Fried Eggs
3 Strips of Bacon
Smoked Gouda Cheese
Salt/Pepper
Maple Syrup
Butter

Step 1: Toast Up Some Crumpets

Put two crumpets in the toaster. Cook up some bacon and a couple of fried eggs.

Step 2: Cheese & Butter

Once toasted, put some smoked gouda cheese on one crumpet and butter on the other.

Step 3: Add Maple Syrup

Douse the buttered crumpet with maple syrup. Pop both crumpets back in the toaster until the cheese and butter melts.

Step 4: Add the Eggs

Top off the maple-butter crumpet with 2 fried eggs. Sprinkle on some salt & pepper.

Step 5: Add Bacon

Top off the melted cheese crumpet with a few slices of crispy bacon.

Step 6: Combine It

Put the two sides together to create a sandwich.

Step 7: Enjoy!

Slice it in half or eat it whole. The Bacon, Egg & Crumpet sandwich is an Aussie-American phenomenon.
