WHY I DELEGATED 4400 SP TO TRAVELFEED.IO?

in #steem5 years ago (edited)

In next 2 minutes, I am going to reveal my secret why I decided to delegate 4400 SP to Travelfeed.io (@travelfeed)! It is almost 2 years since I got interested in Steem Blockchain and all the Steem related things in general. It helped me to meet lots of wonderful people and taught me some seriously interesting stuff about the crypto-world. It opened my eyes in so many ways and bring me tons and tons of joy, but the most exciting thing that happened in those 2 years was joining a platform/community called Travelfeed.

HOW ALL OF THIS STARTED?

As you may or may not know, in the last few years my wife @Kamile and I traveled to a serious number of places all around the world. These adventures consisted mostly of hitchhiking, couchsurfing and sleeping in a tent or under the stars. After that, we decided to bring some changes to our lives and started spending more time learning new things: I became a tour guide and she finished her filming/video editing courses.

After a while, we realized that in order to gain some more power to fulfill our dreams we needed to save some currency. This is how we decided to move to Denmark to live and work there for half a year. In a few months, our plans (and savings) got eaten by some twists and turns of this crazy game that we call life as I was told I was not as strong and healthy as I thought. This is how we got back home and started living in a more stable way.

Despite the fact our travel life was adjusted according to the circumstances, the burning flame in our hearts and the unspeakable desire for adventure never died. This is when I first heard of Travelfeed.io - a platform built by travelers for travelers. This concentrated stream of travel stories, written by all those crazy travel maniacs bring quite a bit of joy and excitement to my life.

WHAT IS TRAVELFEED.IO?

Travelfeed is a platform that allows its users to create a professional-looking Steem based microblog in minutes. What is more, it's an ever-growing community of independent travelers and all kinds of travel addicts. Writing a few articles for Travelfeed allowed me to earn quite a lot of Steem and the second when I heard about the team behind this project was the moment when things got even more exciting!

The main person behind the technical part of this platform is Julian Peters (@jpphotography). You won't believe this, but this incredible guy did most of the technical work of the creation of the Travelfeed.io platform on his own. He even had to stop his university studies to continue the development of his precious creation.

Another co-founder of Travelfeed.io is Jürgen Horn better known as @for91days. Jürgen has been making a living as a travel blogger for over 10 years and knows the industry in and out. Why "for91days"? Because in the last decade he spent at least 91 days non-stop every year exploring our beautiful world. This is why he knows well what we travelers seek.

WHY I BELIEVE THAT TRAVELFEED.IO HAS UNLIMITED POTENTIAL?

First of all, I've been there for a while now and I've seen how fast this platform has been developed. If you are interested in their plans for the future you should check out STEEMFEST 4 video where Julian is talking about the advantages of the Travelfeed.io compared to personal blogs, social media, Steemit.com, etc.

Another amazing thing is Travelfeed's curation team and their curation system in general. Not long ago I applied to become a Travelfeed.io content curator. Jürgen invited me and a few other fellow travelers to join an online course where he explained how it's done. This was when I realized how solid their curation system really is.

EVERY single one of Travelfeed.io posts is manually curated. They check for the cases of plagiarism, evaluate grammar mistakes and overall usefulness of the article, etc. Right now their team consists of some well know Steemians such as Reina Flaviano (@wanderein), @elsaenroute, @mrprofessor, @smeralda, @worldcapture. Also a couple of awesome Polish curators: @lesiopm & @rozku.

WHY I DECIDED TO DELEGATE MY SP TO TRAVELFEED.IO AND WHY YOU SHOULD DO THAT TOO?

First of all, if you are not too interested in travel blogging yourself, it still could be a great investment. Keep in mind that Travelfeed.io is already a working project and once they add a few more functions and register the company, they are going to launch their own token. When this happens, all the SP delegators will get a TF token airdrop.

However, if you ARE a travel blogger, your SP delegation would help both: the platform developers and the travel blog authors. Larger @travelfeed upvote will attract more users and at the same time, there will be more reasons for the TF developers to make the tool that all of us use even more awesome by adding much more new functions and even new possibilities for the authors to earn some money.

Finally, if you have quite a lot of SP, but you like to curate on your own, check out the @travelfeed content for hidden gems. If you are too busy to do the manual curation, there is always the option of joining the Travelfeed.io curation trail on "Steem Auto".

If you are not a respected member of Travelfeed.io community yet, you are welcome to join the platform, participate in one of my Travel writing contests and compete for the main prize of 100 STEEM. Remember, every STEEM counts! By the way, you can always power up your winnings and delegate it to @travelfeed as a future investment!

Yours,
Tautvydas! (Tot)

Travelfeed are a solid team and have always supported my travel posts. It's been great to see them grow and develop and I know this year they are going to kick some ass!

I know I need to write more travel blogs but like you mentioned, "real life" gets in the way sometimes hey!

Yup, I agree with you. :D "Ass kicking" is what they do best! :D

Thanks for being part of the TravelFeed community and for believing in the project. The founders are crazy awesome travel addicts, no wonder they've conceived this platform ;)

Love your YouTube video especially that part you're hitchhiking. I started out my trip with a suitcase and gave that up for a backpack so I can hitchhike :D

It is funny, but when you have less, you are more free if that makes sense. :D Actually we are thinking about having a "all inclusive" type of a trip to Turkey, Egypt or somewhere else. Why? It's because we have never experienced that before and it would be something new. :D Who knows, maybe we would get tired of eating and laying by the pool all day every day...

Something new is always exciting. I would like to try an all inclusive trip as a gift to myself one day. For now, I'll enjoy the budget trips so I stay on the road longer :)

Do you have any special travel plans for 2020 or you will improvise? :)

By the way, why did u create another account? :)

Yep, there was someone who owns a blog called wanderlass, also a public figure. Her sister contacted me about my use of this name so I just changed mine to avoid any conflict. Also a re-branding for me so that's fine :)

I'm a big fan of the group behind travelfeed. I'm not a traveler so don't use the product but i am a big steemian and love what they are building here. It's the future of steem with different apps, sites and games using the technology here to power their own businesses and travelfeed are leading the way in that.
