My smile is my weapon

Life was a better mail man to him,it was always there to deliver on time and untimely. Hooks, jabs and uppercuts were delivered to him daily, with his hands still protecting his face but weary and almost fading out, he held on by a thread but his looks could tell that there was nothing worth celebrating.
He was once a church brother but life had taken its toll on him that he had forgotten his 'First Love'. Bittered and resenting everyone he became isolated but there was this lady though they had never broken words, she had a way of reaching out to him without words.
Her smile was as beautiful as Sunday morning. 'How do you do it?' He asked her one day out of curiosity.
'Do what? ' surprised at his question. 'Wear that smile as if you've never had any trouble '. He replied.
Her smile made his heart open like a flower to the heat of the Sun☀.
"Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things." Philippians 4...
'Philippians 4:8' He interrupted her.
'How can I think of all these things when I have none of it in my life? ' He asked her. 'Life is hard but God is good and greater and He has promised that He will never leave nor forsake us. I don't smile because everything is fine but I do because I know WHOM I belong to. I can't stop or change how life treats me but I have a choice when it comes to how I react to it'. She answered.
These simple words has just sparked a light in him and he decided to change his perspective about life. At that point Romans 8:28(And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God,to those who are called according to His purpose) came to him and hope grew in him. His therapy session had just been completed and he paid nothing for it.
