What do you understand about Eid-ul-Azha? tell us

Eid-ul-Adha has a special importance in the life of us Muslims which is celebrated every year on 10th of Zul-Hijjah according to the Islamic months and calendar. On this day, everyone who can afford sacrifices in the way of Allah.

Eid al-Adha is primarily celebrated to commemorate a significant event when Allah's prophet, Ibrahim, had a dream in which he was sacrificing his beloved son, Ismail, in the way of Allah. Both of them understood that this dream was a test from Allah, and they decided to fulfill it.

Thus, Ibrahim took his son to a mountain and laid him down, ready to sacrifice him. As soon as Ibrahim began to move the knife on his son's neck, Allah intervened and sent a lamb in place of Ismail, sparing his life.

In commemoration of this event, every year on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah, we muslims who can afford to do so sacrifice an animal, whether it be a goat, cow, camel, bull, or lamb halal animals. The meat from this sacrifice is then divided into three parts.

One part is kept for the family, one part is given to relatives and friends, and the remaining part is distributed to the poor.We ensures that those who are unable to afford a sacrifice also receive meat and can be included in the celebration.

👨‍👨‍👦‍👦 What is your plan of action on this Eid day?

This time on Eid, we have decided to perform the animal sacrifice right after the morning prayer because it is extremely hot these days, and it becomes quite difficult to carry out the sacrifice later in the day. Therefore, we will conduct the sacrifice early in the morning and then bring the meat home to distribute it, so that the task of distributing the meat can be completed as quickly as possible.

After that, we will all get ready and visit our close relatives' homes. There, all of us cousins and relatives will enjoy together and savor the delicious dishes made from the sacrificial meat.

Receiving Eidi from all our close ones is also an important part of the celebration. That's why I collect Eidi from my family members in the morning, and as we visit various relatives throughout the day, they give us Eidi, which we happily receive.

🐄 Are you sacrificing animals this Eid? What amount is being spent or will be?

Yes, Alhamdulillah, like every year, we have a strong intention to perform the sacrifice this year as well. However, we haven't bought the sacrificial animal yet. With four days remaining until Eid, my brother and father are currently looking for an animal.

Earlier, my father found a goat which he liked very much, but the rate was too high, so he returned without taking it that day. This morning, my father mentioned that they might bring home the sacrificial animal today, which will be a goat. They plan to buy this goat for 50,000 Rupees which is around 780 Steem .

🗣️ Share your advice on how to find out about your poor relatives this Eid.

The main purpose of the sacrifice on Eid al-Adha is to distribute the meat among our less fortunate relatives, neighbors, and community members so they can also partake in the Eid festivities. We need to be aware of the circumstances of those around us, understanding whether they are able to afford a sacrifice this year or not. It is important for a person to know the economic conditions of their neighbors and those living in their community.

Most people tie their sacrificial animals around their homes, making it evident that they are performing the sacrifice this year. Similarly, it becomes clear who is not able to perform the sacrifice. Therefore, those who do perform the sacrifice should ensure that the meat is distributed primarily to the less fortunate and needy.
