The Stars are right. Handcut collage 50/50cm.
This is a handut collage i created some years ago as a gift for a friend's wedding. I was working a lot with vintage photos back then and wanted to create a simple composition yet striking in symbolism and idea. I used Mars and Earth for the two planets/heads, guess i should have used Mars and Venus but they both look so much alike as image that people would confuse them. Also Earth was a better choice because it had more white and was looking good with the body.I like to combine black and white with colour and so for the background i chose a nice nebula image and created a mirror effect to bring balance to the artwork.
What a nice gift! I love it. I've always been fascinating with this kind of art maybe because I'm terrible with collage :D I think you connected with the energies of your friends, Mars and Earth, very close to each other, similar and the same time so different, one simple and rude and the other one , complex and motherly.Love space concept! ✨

Even if you put aside that I like the space theme)), this retro-collage is great. He conveys to the viewer the atmosphere of triumph, the emotions of the young couple and the feelings of the one who spent his time and talent in order to put together these photographs.

i love the surreal almost "twilight zone" feel to this. the cloud swirls look like hair, alluding to the fact that earth might be a dumb but beautiful blonde bombshell..
I was really wondering if i had to mention that the body was from a Marilyn Monroe photo, but you spotted it,lol. I agree with you and i like your view, lets hopw that mars will be more serious and not advantage of her:)
