Yesterday Thursday 20/08/2020 was a typical day for me as i woke very early to worship with my family. I woke around 5am. After praying together, everyone went to face what they have for the day. I quickly came online to check on our growing community on Whatsapp. I was able to chat with some that were available and encouraged more engagement. After attending to these important matters, I prepared to leave the house. That was around 9am. I planned to go and get my book and magazine from the printery. I have been writing for a better part of the last decade.

I actually started my first blog in 2009 on the free blogspot platform by Google. I still have my Adsense account as a publisher under Google. For the next 10 years, I would have this love for content creation. I published my first book, a 32 page book - Teach Yourself The Internet- in 2012 while I was still in third year. I still sell this book to Schools and bookshops. I also have computer training centers that buy it from me. So like I said earlier, I asked the publisher to reprint some copies for me. Below is the book.

My hunger for writing did not end in that little book. I started planning for something bigger. I decided to write and publish a full-color IT magazine. I was inspired to do this because many people learn computer without seeing what some hardware look like. So I included many pictures of computer hardware so that people can see, for example, what a computer motherboard looks like. I published this magazine called Computer Digest in the 10th month of my service year - in 2016. I finished the first 1000 copies and now reprints to sell more. The magazine comes with a DVD that contains 22 video lessons for anyone that wants to learn Computer at home. Here is the magazine in question.

So I left the house for the printery and when I got there, both the small book and the magazine were ready. I reprinted 500 copies each as I have the order. I was able to collect them and come back around 4pm. I have to put them in a transparent packaging so preserve the neatness. I will complete this process before sending them out to my clients that ordered them. Since I discovered that it is less costly to publish online, I temporarily stopped publishing in print. I now publish online. In the nearest future, i might still do a printed book or magazine before I call it a day.

That was how I spent Thursday 20/08/2020

Waow i now see the backbone behind the excellent write ups i have been reading from you. I agree with you @focusnow a lot of people study computer without even knowing how the hard ware looks like. Sure this magazine has been very helpful and you are really creating impact through knowledge acquisition. I can't forget to resteem this post.

Thank you @njiatanga for your nice words. True, computer needs to be a practical course. But many people just learn the theory. So Computer Digest is my effort to show them the hardware, and not just the name.

@ngoenyi. Unfortunately, I lost the soft copy I had on my system when I formatted it because of virus. But I can get it back from the plate the next time I go to the printery.
