Don't Believe Everything You See

Yesterday I showed you what happens When Things Go Wrong. Today I thought it's time to give it another go, let's see if I can do better.

The first thing I did was to find another recipe and surprise, surprise. I found a lot, not just one, pretty similar to the other one, except one thing, which has changed everything.

So the first recipe I tried before Christmas, you know, the one that made my rolls crack said, I have to let the yeast rise and then let the dough rest in a warm place.

This new recipe I chose today says don't let the yeast rise (basically forbids it) and put the dough in the fridge. If you have a bit of experience baking, you know that this is exactly the opposite of what I did with the other.

Confusion is the minimum someone might feel in this situation, but don't worry, there's no right or wrong in this business, you have to try it out and if it isn't good, you have to find a way and work it out.

So voilà! Does this look better? Still need to do a few things but it's better than the other.

One with walnuts, the other with poppy seeds and raisins.

Before you say anything, I only had one slice of each, the rest is for the family. Diet is on!
