Why I Joined the Politically Incorrect Steemians
First of all, I believe in political correctness. I think we should have policies that do not marginalize various groups of people. Inevitably, it leads to controls on speech to avoid offending those same groups of people. I agree with that also, as it is central in being able to respect others who were affected more deeply by such marginalization.
The Politically Incorrect Steemians is a relatively new community started by @valorforfreedom. It is an active budding community whose chat room has no rules whatsoever. Whatever norms we have established as a society for avoiding various terms or for restricting hate speech are out the door.
But that doesn't mean it will turn into a sexist and racist cesspool. In fact, it hasn't. For @valorforfreedom is a man of honor. He will treat each and every visitor as a human being, and at least has admitted to being slightly open about changing his view should there be anyone convincing enough. He does hold very strong conservative opinions, and sometimes that can rub people the wrong way. As a liberal leaning fellow, I will serve as a counterweight for the time being.
Beneath it all is a drive to improve ourselves and help each other, and the leader @valorforfreedom is quite the motivator, and you can see it from his posts: his ambitious goals and his dedication towards those goals. And that is a main focus of this community as well (despite the name of the group). Simply put, it's not purely about being politically incorrect for the sake of being politically incorrect.
Now, about that political incorrectness... When it does come up, it can get pretty crazy. I tend to go hide when that happens since it's not my cup of tea. I see it as venting frustration over some larger group over the actions of a few of the individuals of that group (stereotyping of course). But I ignore it because otherwise I've had quite interesting conversations with other fellow berserkers. An individual after all is more complex than the labels we slap on them. A sexist or racist is still a person after all, and if there is a place to open up our minds it would make the whole world a better place.
An interesting side thought also-- On the internet, you have no idea who you could be talking with, and what things can potentially be so offensive. Moreover, you cannot discern tone, which is especially important for e.g. detecting sarcasm, which I am terrible at. So the chat is ripe for misinterpretation that could suddenly fire things up. But then they can be cleared up, and life moves on.
Anyway, an interesting mix of people have emerged into the channel. I warmly invite you all to come explore. And if you don't get scared off from the strong rhetoric, will look forward to some interesting discussion ahead. Cheers!

PS you might need one of these.
A very honest and charming post about our group.
The group would be too onesided without the girls and you Eon (no offense). You just provide other perspectives.
Time to get the others to upvote this awesome piece of propaganda!
No offense taken! I'm interpreting this as being in a category of my own, don't take that away from me. Happy to offer an alternative perspective.
Exactly.
Glad to have you in the team.
Well said!
@valorforfreedom is an A** most of the time.
But when he gets his "serious"and "get things done" mode. You'll definitely get it.
You'll admire his dedication in making our little group succeed. And he doesn't like me because I'm lazy. So lazy peeps are definitely not welcome.^^ (I'm not a member, just there for the fun of it)
Can't disagree with anything the little girl said.
I like the picture...it kinda speak a thousand words...its like dont fuck with me...coz i take not shit from anyone.
@valorforfreedom actually found it from searching around so kudos to him. That is one ferocious beast!
The "person" in the picture is Odin, the wolf is Fenrir and the horse with 8 legs is Sleipnir.
They all play a huge role in Norse Mythology.
I wonder what they really represented eons ago?
I wonder the same.
I am happy someone on the Internet told me to learn more about my German ancestors because it would enrich my life.
He was so damn right.
The 9 noble virtues, for example, help me to make better decisions on my way to victory.
oddly enough...a LOT of my ancestors came from germany...
I think...
it seems like people feel the need to voice their opinion somewhere else. Sadly, we have too much to loose here don't we?
Yeah bro @eonwarped. We are incorrect for good.... because we refuse to conform to other people's norms. We refuse to stick to expectations....we refuse to live our lives through the society's chains. That's why we are politically incorrect.
And we have badass goals too. We work on them daily till they work. Cheers for spreading the goodnews. Resteemed and 100%upvd.

You should only comment if you are adding value to the discussion. If you are just asking for votes and follows, you will be flagged (this hurts your reputation) If you don't have something important to say, it is best not to say it. Just some advice so you don't get flagged in the future.
or...he will be muted..which I did.
Doing the same.
Well said, within our community we are not always politically incorrect, we have very interesting conversations among all the members of the group and it seems to me a great community with great aspirations and oriented to the growth of all its members through incredible actions in the promotion room guaranteeing votes and realistic comments and friends. ;)
