What's happening?
Mercury and Mars are in mutual reception. Each is in the sign the other rules. This doubles down on the energy of intellectual restlessness and productivity -- and the eagerness to back your ideas up with action.
You may have more going on in your head now than you can achieve in reality in a month of Sundays. So ... I go back to the usual advice when this happens. Take notes. Take a lot of them. This intensity will pass, and you can drag them out and work on the most promising when life settles down again.
As Mercury aspects go, this one isn't spectacular but it can be pretty constructive. It invites you to share ideas -- and talk to people to find out what they think, what they know, what they're planning, etc. The nervous energy here that helps you think fast keeps you antsy though -- so don't plan to hang around for a protracted debate or even an in-depth discussion.
Even an evening in one place -- talking with one or two people -- is probably too much to expect. There's a slap-dash feeling to this pair in these signs -- which can easily become hit-and-miss if you don't rein it in some. Your mind moves easily from one topic to another ... and pretty soon, your feet want to follow.
Still, if you can burn off some of this physical energy with intellectual progress -- reading, writing, learning, talking, thinking, etc., you may come up with a basketful of new interests to pursue -- or topics to research and write about if you have a job (or a passionate hobby) where such things are part of the territory.
This is an energy that wants to stay busy. (Everything here hates to be bored!!) You may fill up your schedule with a lot of busy-work, a lot of "little jobs," that don't seem all that impressive at first, but man, can they run you ragged. You're inclined to take up -- or chase after -- anything that sounds even remotely interesting, and that can be your downfall -- if you're not careful.
But for work (or jobs) that require movement, travel, thinking, communication, learning, research, "clever ideas," etc., this duo can deliver the goods (and cook dinner and stand on its head all at the same time.) Use it wisely, as you'll be pleased with the outcome. Just don't expect it to last very long. (And that's a shame ... because as I said ... it's constructive, interesting, ambitious, mobile, etc!!)

- More good ideas than you can realistically pursue right away. (Notes, notes, notes!!!)
- Passionate ideas -- good communication skills -- new interests, lively conversation, interesting reading.
- Lots of nervous energy -- lots of insomnia if that's a familiar problem.
- Assertive opinions -- and people willing to take you on and assert theirs right back!
- Lots of little jobs, chores, errands, etc., and you appreciate the variety and the chance to get out and move around.
- Able to get a lot of stuff done if you keep the tasks small, manageable, inter-related maybe.
- A mind running on high octane fuel -- and multiple strategies to make the most of them.
