TODAY IS NATIONAL SHRIMP DAY!

Every day provides us with opportunities to celebrate. Today I invite you to celebrate one of my favorite foods, shrimp.

SHRIMP

It’s shrimp day,
another foodie holiday.

Shrimp is a seafood,
great regardless of your mood.

They are widely fished,
so, they can grace our dish.

Some are raised on a farm,
to prevent ecosystem harm.

Many people sing shrimps praise,
because it’s served in a variety of ways.

Baked or fried,
I won’t be denied.

Served hot or cold,
either way I’m sold.

Eat shrimp as a main dish,
or as an appetizer if you wish.

Toss it on the grill,
give your taste buds a thrill.

Serve them stuffed,
they won’t be rebuffed.

Eat them your favorite way,
as we celebrate shrimp this day.
