Welcome to #MonochromeMonday initiated by @old-guy-photos! We are enjoying a bit of winter here, something that took me by surprise, given the fact we had 70-degree weather last week. Oh, yes! It even snows in Camelot. But, we have had a pretty nice time of it and it doesn't always happen every winter. We went without last year. Hold back your tears, please.
It started the night before, lots of little flakes floating down from way up there, somewhere. Wherever snow comes from. It came, it went. It never said goodbye... only because it was coming right back. Who knew?
It made for a beautiful Sunday, which I posted about yesterday, even though I didn't know that it would be turning into a Government shut-down for today... it came back last night to say goodbye. No pity expected. The neighborhood is full of people today, shoveling and swapping gossip. Later today, someone will fire up a grill and cook something tasty for all that can smell the call of the hungry. Did I say I love my neighborhood?
Is it wrong of me to want this?? Except perhaps in a little bit of color? I haven't quite grasped this monochrome thing... I survive on living color!
Long winter days give many pardons to the garden angel in the snow. Blessed are those that depict their dream and follow their call in life. Wherever it takes you, no matter how far.

Yes even Camelot can suffer a black swan event every now and then...I feel for you in your 35 degree deep freeze as I am in 10 but happy for some sun!

Even I bowed down to tights to run in this morning. It was somewhere around 27 when I woke up but warmed right up to a balmy 35. I can't complain when you are sporting 10 degrees! :))

thats not so bad I just saw in the forecast we may get some snow on Sunday, not that I trust forecasts that far out, so will see what comes,
I think we barely broke thirty today here , and real feel never got about 24, so I would happily take 30 LOL
They are now forecasting that we may get some snow on Thursday and on Sunday. Just in time for the work week. If we do get snow on both of these days, it'll be the snowiest winter we've had in a long time.
And up till now I think we have had less snow that normal by a big degree and with current forecasts these systems will skirt by us and we wont get much snow at all, when you think about it were not so far apart but such differences in the winter

Oh yes! Just think about how much closer you are to Massachusetts and how much more snow they get than you do. I know that all my relatives get tons of feets of snow on a regular basis. So yes, we aren't that far apart, however, because of the Potomac River and the Chesapeake Bay, we are in a banana belt can often have much warmer temperatures than our surrounding areas. How lucky are we?
Funnily enough the family in MA is also on the coast and they have got even less snow than we have in CT

Here’s hoping you get enough snow to be pretty but not enough o be annoying :)
I lived on Long Island Sound in Connecticut and we always got so much less than where you are. I am talking about Peabody and Boston and the interior. Wow! They get hammered.
Google: A banana belt is any segment of a larger geographic region that enjoys warmer weather conditions than the region as a whole, especially in the wintertime.
