A Sublime Sunday enjoying the sun and sea and garden. Today's #ulog
Enjoying our beach on a #sublimesunday and a #ulog post.
Why not follow me down our path and see what I am about on this Sunday. Here is a quick video of our main pathway to our beach.
Grab a seat and look to your left, out into Buzzard's Bay.
Looking to the right you can see little harbour.
We love sitting down here in the morning. Though, since I have made my little porch and terrace, we tend to have our morning there and then meander down afterwards. Puss loves to follow me here and often lounges in the sand keeping an eye on me.
If you look back up the path, you can see my little pergola on the terrace peeking out. It gives an idea of the rise of our land from Sea to the house.
That jumble of giant rectangular boulders are what is left of a once engineered stepway to the beach. It was made back in the 80's before our big hurricane Bob that hit our shores back in the 80's. It was so strong it jostled and tossed these giant stones about.
My project for next Spring is to make a wooden stairway and planked pathway above the beach grass. However, this year my Spring project was the terrace and pergola, so that is on the list for next Spring. I like to take on one big project in Spring with the aim of finishing by 1 June ( which is also @winstonalden 's birthday) and then to just enjoy the project for the rest of the Summer.
Let's head back up the path towards the house and to the left as we go up, on that large boulder there, you can see my latest Beach Treasure: An intact shell of a horseshore crab.
That's right I said intact, check out the underside, all those little pre-historic feet.
I let treasures dry out and 'de-stink' here before taking them to the house. Some things don't even make to the house and I just let this rock become a revolving display of my beach finds.
Beachcombing and treasure hunting here always leads to inspiration for art in some form or another.
Let's head over to the garden now. My salad greens are doing very well, a mix of kales, lettuce, cabbage, and chard.
You can also see my corn is growing nicely.
I'm pretty proud of my kholrabi. They are getting large and are so round and white.
The little bed on the outside of my veg garden is doing nicely as well. It is my herbal tea bed. I have cinnamon basil, pineapple sage, chocolate mint, bergamot bee balm, and lemon balm, and hyssop-anise. There are some flowers mixed in as well.
My rose gladioli combo planting is working out thus far.
I underplanted some gladioli under my roses so they would grow up thorugh them and act as the stake. When the rosers are done flower, the glads should be flowering. Although I am hoping if I continue to dead head my roses they might be blooming simlutaenously. Gardening is often experiment and I love that.
Since we are looking at flowers and plants, here is one of my favourite wild flowers that grow profusely here: Queen Anne's lace or wild carrot. The flowers on these are so amazing, made up of so many smaller flowers.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this short #walkwithme #ulog #sublimesunday of a day. I hope you all get a moment to enjoy your favourite way to relax today.

Whoa that crab!!! I thought they only exist in documentaries and really distant and far away places hahaha.
And your kholrabi! It looks so weird and magical.
You live in some great adventure land, looks like XD.
Ha ha, yeah I live in a parallel universe where I swim with dinosaurs and grow alien veg :)
Nice garden you have growing there! Spectacular view.. I would definitely be chilling out there on a slow Sunday morning. Enjoy!
I work like the dickens in Spring to then relax like a slug in Summer. I always make time to sit and stare here :)
Wicked #ulog #walkwithme #sublimesunday! I can never get enough of looking around your place, you have so many cool plants in every nook and cranny. That corn is looking GREAT and I love your little tea garden.
The boys would lose their shit if they every found a horseshoe crab!! Nice find!!!!
Well if you ever come and visit they better bring nappies to wear, because not only do we find these often but I see them scuttling live and happy along the sandy bottom of our bay whilst snorkeling. They really are cool living dinosaurs.
Also, do you know what @ulogs means when they say to 'put a number on my ulog title post?'
Example of your titles for the #ulog series:
Ulog 1: the title of the post
or
#ulog #1 ~ the title of the post
Basically you would number it each time. #ulog 2, #ulog 3 etc
Does that make sense?
The reason I think ulogs are great, is that for a ulog you don't have to make it a huge post, you can even just put one photo of the day and a little paragraph or two about your day, your experience, or whatever the photo is of. It encourages people to post every day, even if it's not a big elaborate post.
How wonderful to live near the water's edge and enjoy nature as you do!
I never take it for granted and enjoy it everyday (well not so much in Winter) :)
Hi! Please put a number to your ulog title post. Thank you
A number? I'm new to using the #ulog tag what do you mean a number?
Wow! Amazing shot! Absolutely beautiful and wonderful post... it make me feel peaceful
Oh good. Me too. I hope my view can spread quiet and calm to others :)
wonderful capture

Another amazing post, I nearly totally missed this one because I check the posts with the tag in the tag section - it would be nice if it tags used in the body of posts linked them to a tag flow too. Fortunately you popped up in @tattoodjay comments and I was like - "I haven't been to @donnadavisart blog in a while - I must see what she is doing"
And of course what you are doing is still creating incredible content, this post is just fantastic - that horse show crab is incredible - I can appreciate you leaving it outside a while though!
I adore those flower pots on the top of the fence - it reminds me so much of Bill and Ben from my childhood - although you probably have no idea what that show is!
Thank you as always for just creating the most amazing content, I really do love your posts and need to make more of an effort to call in and enjoy more of them.
