THE DIARY GAME:07/09/2020:My first day in pheripheral visit

Today I started my pheripheral trainig for a month. I had to be there around 7.30. So I got up at 6 in the morning today. Then had a shower. But it was so cold in the morning and was somewhat difficult to bear. Then I dressed up and had my breakfast.

My mother was on leave today. So I with my father left near 7.15. Hospital is so closed to my home. So without taking much time I was there. First we went to director's office and collected our letters which we should handed over to the word consultant.

Normally we have to completely major and minor appointments. In pheripheral training we only focuse for major appointments. There are five major appointments like medicine, surgery, pediatric, gynecology and obstetrics and psychiatrc. We have to attend one appointment per one week.

Today we started from medical appointment. We are divided to two groups. There are four medical words under two consultants. Word staff was so friendly. We were given a room in the word to keep our bags. Then we waited until the consultant come. He came near 9.15. He was some strick and disciplinary.

First he did the word round and checked each and every patent there and asked us to follow him. He explained the condition of each patient. Before start this we had to switch off all our phones.

There are two word under one consultant as male and female. After finishing word round in female word, we went to male word. There were patients with diabetes, cirrhosis, fever. After all we waited some time until the consult finish his works in the word.

Then around taking one hour he explained us about history taking of a patient. For a history there must be general information, present complaining of the disease and it's history, drug history, surgical history, family and social history. It gives a wast idea on patient and make it easy for diagnosing. So later we asked to take history of some patients there.

At the end of the day it was so tired as we had to stand for hours continuously. I returned home near 4 in the evening.
