Market Friday at Valley View Farms

Today for #marketfriday I'll be taking you to Valley View Farms!

Valley View Farms is located at 11035 York Road in Cockeysville, Maryland 21030.

Valley View Farms is a large garden center that started out as a small roadside produce stand in 1962. They have an immense greenhouse with many different varieties of plants, trees and shrubs as well as many outdoor items. They are not only known for their garden center though. They also have beautiful Christmas displays during the holiday months. It is magical to see but be warned this place gets crowded.

There is so much here both indoors and outside to see. This is one of their out buildings. If you love outdoor decor then this is a great place to find some.

They offer water gardens, bird baths and so many different kinds of outdoor statues and figurines although you could choose to keep the statues and figurines inside if you wanted. They are also very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions you may have.

They also have a Fish House. These fish aren't for the frying pan though..lol. They offer many different sizes and colors of Koi for your pond and they also offer tadpoles.

They have three different size ponds on the property to see and enjoy. All three have different size Koi fish in them and have beautiful flowers around each one. these are the smaller two ponds.

This is the large pond and some nearby plants. It's hard to gauge the actual size from the photo but you may be able to make out the lounge chair towards the back of the first photo to get an idea of the size.

There are some pretty big Koi in the large pond. They swim right up to you. It's one of my favorite things to see when I visit here in the warmer months. There is a beautiful big blue Koi in the large pond that the color reminds me of the song "Blue Suede Shoes" by Elvis Presley. Hmmm...I feel you laughing at me but here...look at the photos!

Told Ya! Anyway, lets go take a little look inside but I will tell you now that I did not go in the outside nursery much because it was jam packed with people in some areas.

So many varieties of beautiful and colorful flowers.

I saw a lot of blue planters in different shades. There were other colors as well but the blue definitely stood out!

Inside the main store I found some garden globes which were pretty. I'm sure they had many more inside the other out building they had.

They also have many kinds of hummingbird feeders and other kinds of feeders for the birds in your garden/yard. I know they have a bigger selection in the other out building as well. I can't believe I forgot but when I was there, I meant to look for a certain bird feeder that @melinda010100 told me about to attract the Baltimore Oriole. I learned from Melinda that they love grape jelly and it would attract them to my garden. Smh that I forgot to look while there!

This is my last photo. Valley View Farms has quite a selection of windsocks, wind chimes and these wind things that I call whirlygigs. I'm sure they have a proper name but they'll always be whirlygigs to me! 😊
