World-Famous Handguns: Beretta 92FS
Remember that terrifying killer robot, the Terminator T-1000 from the Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991) movie? It was using a Beretta 92FS pistol.
Beretta 92 is a series of semi-automatic pistols designed and manufactured by Beretta of Italy. Beretta is a privately held Italian firearms manufacturing company operating in several countries. Its firearms are known and used worldwide for a variety of civilian, law enforcement, and military purposes. The Beretta company is also known for marketing shooting clothes and accessories.
Originally designed for use by the Italian army and police, the Model 92 pistols earned most of their fame as the standard sidearm of the U.S. military. The model 92 was designed in 1972 and many variants are still manufactured in different calibers today. The United States Armed Forces replaced the Model 1911A1 .45 ACP pistol in 1985 with the military specification Beretta 92F, the M9.
Like it or not, the Beretta design has proven to be durable and reliable. While many in the military and law enforcement agencies would prefer another caliber (.45 for the full stopping power), it is hard to argue with the 15 rounds of 9mm bullets it carries.

I've never held a Beretta brand 92fs, just its cousin, the Taurus version. I did have a compact PX4 for two days until I took it back. If it's not fantastic right out of the box, it's not for me, besides I should've gone with the full size .45 version. Anyhow, I still love most of the designs from Beretta. For me, it's a toss up between the Storm and 92fs, both are awesome firearms and perform well. What did I decide on instead of the Storm Compact? I actually went in a different direction and went with Walther PPQ M2. It has served me well now for over a year. The full size Storm and the 92fs are still on my want list though.

Its one of my favorite pistols it has been in so many movies. My favorite pistol in the world is based on the 92 Beretta Check out a 93R its the 3 round burst version

I got to shoot one of these at the range a few weeks back, rented it. I actually own a Beretta PX4 Storm Compact model. Great gun it's more of a range gun or bedside gun than something that's really practical to carry.
I also have a Beretta Jetfire 950 BS. It's a little .25 pocket gun or mouse gun as they call them. I believe it was featured in Reservoir Dogs in the scene where the undercover cop is leaving his house and puts it in his boot.
I love Beretta's. I'd love to get a 92FS however I'm in need of something more portable than something that large. I also really wanted to like the Pico as a pocket carry gun but I havn't really heard great reviews of it.
