5 Good Reasons To Eat Local Raw Honey

5 good reasons to buy local raw honey!

  1. Supporting Local Beekeepers helps save the local bee population. This gives flowers and food plants the proper pollinators to ensure a great crop!
  2. Keep Money Resources Local to help sustain a healthy local economy!
  3. Healthy Diet - Honey is wonderful to help counteract allergies, promotes good sleep, has even been shown to help reduce blood sugars and encourage healthy weight loss.
  4. Medicinal Needs - There are so many uses for honey for medicine. The claims of what honey can do are endless. I'm sure much of it is honest and true... some not, but it has been clinically proven that honey can act as a natural cough suppressant and can stimulate the healing of topical wounds.
  5. Natural Energy - Who can't use a little more energy? I've been guilty of buying little bottles of liquid that claim to give you so many hours of energy, but with honey you get all these extra benefits along with a boost of energy!

I guess that extractor's container can hold more than 6 gallons. It must be a 8 gallon tank on that thing. Once all the honey was bottled up it equaled 6.5 gallons! Wow, I'm so amazed.

It's wonderful to be able to offer such a great natural product to the local economy. Many people will benefit from this amazing resource.

I guess it's always best to buy from local farmers :)

Definitely want some more honey. That last live show was great.

We've had local sources of honey a few times but they don't seem to stay around long. It's wonderful when we can locate some! It has a better flavor than anything we get from the store.

I do my best to buy local, there is a farm fairly close to where I live that deliver to the store I do most of my food buying from! It does taste so much better than the commercial stuff!

I wish we were local, and I'd gift you some mead. Then, later of course, you could gift me some honey. ha ha

Awesome haul! I really enjoyed watching the process and was wondering how much the final tally was.

Totally agree. Over the past few years my hayfever has been getting progressively worse. However, I've been combating it with locally sourced honey which helps my system become immune to local pollen. Wonderful!

I am starting to eat local honey to try to help with my allergy's. Never used to get them but they were so bad this year. Thanks for giving a shout out to honey, the wealth of our bees.

We are fortunate to have several sources, meaning different farms, of local honey available to us. We started eating it 4 or 5 years ago and there's no way we would go back to factory honey. I'd rather give it up completely first.
