7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #49 - winner announcement!

@axeman Asian Sunday entry:

Having general bus tourist trip around the Dubai one day, that wasn't really too much time to spend at the observation deck of famous Burj Khalifa, maybe some 30 mins only. And was quite lucky by this time to have a scheduled performance of also famous Burj Khalifa dancing fountains and to see it from very unusual point of view - from almost 500 meters top. So here we have the smiling city warmly welcoming the tourists from all over the world. Enjoy it!

@fotogruppemunich Australian Monday entry:

One of the most famous buildings in the world is the opera house in sydney. I was able to capture this picture with my drone at the beginning of August. At the same time, I make a timelapse of this fantastic moment with the canon.

@bluebottlefilms Tuesday of Antarctica and World´s Oceans entry:

One of my favourite photos from The Map to Paradise filming trip. This one was taken on the shores of Neko Harbour on the Antarctic Peninsula. I love the penguins expression, although it does look a little sad.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - African Wednesday week #49 - winner announcement!

@derangedvisions African Wednesday entry:

It has been a while since I entered anything in African Wednesday. The series I shot of these three farm boys while I was in Tanzania turned out to be some of my favorite shots of the time I spent there. I was on my way in to a Maasai church and these boys came down the path to see us. After I got some shots of them, they followed me into the church and we played some games during the service and I almost got them beat by some of the village elders because they were being disruptive.

Once again, I figure why not feature a photo of mine from my neighborhood? This was the sunrise a couple of days ago in Hollywood looking east towards the hills. You can see the steeple of Hollywood First Presbyterian Church along with a lot of palm trees. I feel very lucky to call this city home!

Heaven's on fire! Great shot, Matt! Have a great upcoming weekend:)

That sky is something else! Well done Matt.

Probably one of the most famous and iconic signs not only in North America but in the whole world :) I took this photo from the Griffith Park, a large park located above L.A., California. The cool thing is that you can actually walk to this spot from the subway station (Hollywood Highland I think).

This is a great place!
Griffith Park and its observartory offers a uniqe view on this mega city and on Hollywood sign on the other side.

Spot on, absolutely agreed!

I visited Antelope canyon on both my trips to this part of USA, as this is a thing you can hardly skip when you are in the area.
So this photo below is from my first tip, back in September 2014.
There is nothing much to be said, lets the photography speaks for itself.

Incredible shapes and colors. Awesome shot.

Ooo I really have to see this place!! Totally awesome! @crazy-andy

Absolutely stunning! Thank you!

great and unique view of Antelope canyon

A view of Mount Timpanogos. Mount Timpanogos or "Timp" as the locals refer to it, is a 11,752 foot mountain in Utah county, where I went to Brigham Young University. For more gorgeous Utah scenery see my post Share My World: Off Roading in American Fork Canyon, Utah.

The original North American Friday post

That sure is one hell of a view!

Yes, it made my heart happy!

Colours of Yellowstone

Yellowstone National Park is famous for a reason and was my unmatched highlight when I visited the US and Canada in 2011. The colours produced by volcanic activities are out of this world!

I have also posted this photo on my blog.

I love how the steam rises from the water;) Bravo, Julian!

Good shot friend!

love it ~ ✨ ~

I just have to go and do some more parks in the US seeing all those fab pics you guys are entering into the contests. Well done!

Taken on our way back from Maligne Lake located in Jasper National Park. It was a gloomy evening, the clouds crowded in for most of the afternoon, we stopped and had a soggy bbq out of the back of the pick-up, after our lunch, the rain decided to stop and the clouds started to part showering the mountain with one last glimpse of sun rays before setting. Probably the closest thing to a sunset I was able to get during the whole trip.

sunrays.jpg

Oh, love that sun rays trying to find its way through the clouds. Beautiful pic!

Color Drama
Following a monsoon thunderstorm sunshine breaks through the clouds lighting up the landscape. The very rich colors are typical after a soaking rain and it really shows the majesty of the red rocks. The Rain is wonderful in the desert! This image was captured in Sedona Arizona USA.

I am just jealous you have such an amazing backyard to play in!

Niagara, Canada
I took this picture on my travel to Niagara on the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls. I honestly always imagined the area ways bigger as I only knew it from TV and videos. Still a stunning piece of nature.

One of the places in our little world that I still have to visit! Great click.

Thank you Tomas! Yeah it's really worth it an also super close to Toronto.

There are lots of little islands around Puerto Vallarta in Mexico that are worth a visit, if your keen to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. They can get crowded though so make sure you get to them early.
IMG_0457.jpg

I love Puerto Vallarta, had some good times over there. Your pic brings back some fun memories:)

New York is a city full of life. The mayor did a lot to clean it but there is still some work to be done. Here is the Chinatown as seen from the bridge. Some think this is art, other think this is liberty of expression, some think it is destruction… I will let you be the judge!

Hmm, I would definitely go with the latter unless the area was dedicated to it.
