Dear Diary: I Haven't Slept Much Due To My Energy Drink

I should haven't taken the energy drink that Ii was using to stabilize my blood pressure during my dialysis because it had given me a bit of toss and turn last night and gave me an insomnia. But I thought that it is better than to have my BP fall down during my dialysis because every bit of time being hooked up is essential for a much better blood cleaning action.

It is my technique during my dialysis to drink energy drinks because of its caffeine content to allow my blood vessels to constrict temporarily so that it will counter the blood pressure-lowering effects of dialysis in the body because it takes off excess water in Kilograms and at the same time takes out sugars, protein compounds, salts, toxins, and other water-soluble nutrients.

So I had that idea because I know that caffeine temporarily makes the blood pressure go high but sometimes dialysis defeats the effects of caffeine so I end up suffering a near shock levels of blood pressure rendering my session affected or even terminated because I could not endure it anymore.

I had all the time in the world to sleep but with the effects of caffeine lingering in my system that will not be possible and I have weighted the benefits from the risks of using energy drinks during my dialysis and I think I am doing the right thing due to my blood pressure situation.
