New Steem IT perspective on ICO's

This is my first post on Steemit and thought i would take the time to introduce myself, before i talk about ICO's I have been interested in Crypto's Since 2013, in 2014 built a mining rig to mine Lite Coin including the likes of the Famous Wo Long Panda Coin. I recently returned back to Crypto's, and noticed alot more excitement with new ICO's. 

I remember in the 2014's ICO's simply conducted on Bitcoin Talk forum, no websites to go to, just the binary code for the wallet and how much the coin is. easy for ICO Fraud and do recall a few Coin ICO's collecting BTC and just vanishing soon after.

Fast Forward and now the new  ICO's far more well planned out, professional websites with downloadable white papers on the coin, its desired use case and the team backing the development.

After further research in the blockchain sector i discovered the influx and influence of Wealthy and successful businessman with the likes of Mark Cuban, Richard Branson and the Playboy Dan Bliz and most recently Brendan Eich.

This inspired me to take a further look into ICO's and perhaps see if i could get on the back of a FOMO Hyped Coin and see where that would end up.

 If you are a developer you would know that Brendan Eich was the Father of Javascript and went onto become the Co Founder of Mozilla.Solid real world Entrepreneur entering into the crypto world domain, with his reputation at stake this would be a good ICO to buy into.

I soon found out the details of the ICO that meant I had to get up at 3am ish New Zealand  time (Yes i am a Kiwi) as that was the time the ICO sale would begin.

To keep the sale fair to everyone, as soon as a particular block goes live you can send 1 Etherium to the Contract address and in return you get your BAT tokens.

I got ready minutes before to buy into this coin and then the block revealed itself on Etherium Block Explorer I quickly attempted to buy into the ICO.

My transaction had failed so checked everything and quickly realized that the sale had finished.

Brendan Eich had Raised $36 Million USD in less than 25 Seconds, my transaction didn’t even go through.Within hours an Exchange listed the BAT Token and they were trading at 5 x the value pre ICO.

Slick traders had they been successful with a 1BTC investment within hours completed a trade that nets them 5 BTC @ $2400 per coin.Having researched these ICO’s further I discovered The biggest ICO that sold in 2017 collected a Whopping USD $300 Million for its ICO that landed up being sold out in less than 10 Minutes on a Coin called GNOSIS.

I am starting to notice, new ICO's changing away from the ICO Stigma  to Token Offerings.

There are currently 20 or more ICO coming out in the next 3 to 4 months, i certainly will be keeping my eyes open for a few more over hyped and overpriced ICO's to spot further opportunities in this space.

ICO's  have alot of Hype attached to the them and thought this would be an easy place to get in early on some good coins and perhaps double up on my BTC very quickly.
